The Period of Six Years
After appointment, Tales and Gandarom started a wonderful job with the monastery. With innovative and insightful ideas, they made Felix abbot’ Monastery a center of excellence in charity, advice and guidance for people of all ages. Allied to this, he increased in wisdom, joy and happiness with his study about the Christianity.
However, not everything was rosy. The fifth century was a period of repression and persecution for those who accepted the Christ through the authoritarian politics of Transmudo King. He tried in every way to demoralize Christians
The apex of persecution occurred on that fateful December 15 of 492. When going to shopping, Tales and Gandarom were arrested by guards at the behest of Transmudo. They were tied up, humiliated and taken to prison.
