THE PREPARATION

The atmosphere inside the pack house changed instantly. The fear that once filled the air was now replaced by a burning determination. Everyone could feel it—the shift in power, the royal aura that radiated from me.

I stood in front of the large mirror in our room, looking at my reflection. My eyes looked different. They held a spark of ancient wisdom and strength. I was no longer just Elana, the girl who loved to read and dream. I was the heir to the throne.

"Lance," I called out without turning around. "We need a plan."

He walked up behind me and wrapped his strong arms around my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder.

"I have already ordered the warriors to strengthen the borders," he reported, his voice deep and serious. "Richard is training the new recruits right now. We are ready for anything, my Queen."

I turned to face him. "But they are looking for me specifically, Lance. They want my blood. I cannot just hide inside while others fight for me. That is not what a Queen does."

Lance sighed, but I saw respect in his eyes. "I know, Elana. But I cannot bear the thought of you getting hurt again. Seeing you unconscious... it broke me."

I placed my hand on his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart.

"I am not weak anymore, love," I said softly. "I can feel their presence. I can sense danger before it even comes. And if they dare come near... I will not hesitate to defend myself and everyone we love."

Suddenly, I closed my eyes and focused. I let the power inside me flow freely. The room grew warm, and a soft golden light started to emanate from my body, illuminating every corner.

"Feel that?" I asked, opening my eyes.

Lance stared at me, completely mesmerized.

"It's... incredible. You are like a goddess walking among us."

"I need you to teach me," I said firmly. "Teach me how to control this. Teach me how to fight properly. I want to be ready when they arrive."

Lance smiled, a proud and loving smile.

"As you wish, my Queen."
