📖 CHAPTER X
THE ROYAL BLOOD
"What do you mean... something more?" I asked, my heart beating fast with a mix of fear and excitement.
Lance took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. He looked at me with eyes full of wonder.
"Elana... do you remember the old legends our parents used to tell us? About the first wolves who walked this earth, blessed by the moon goddess herself?"
I nodded slowly. "Yes... they said they possessed power beyond imagination. But that was just a story, right?"
"No," Lance said firmly. "It was real. And according to what I am feeling right now... you have that power inside you. Your bloodline... it isn't just ordinary. You are carrying the blood of the Royal Wolves."
"Royal Wolves?" I repeated, shocked.
"Yes. The ones who ruled over all packs centuries ago," Lance explained. "That is why those men were looking for you. They must have sensed it. They want to capture you... or worse, they want to use your power for their own evil plans."
I felt dizzy. All my life, I thought I was just a normal she-wolf. But now, everything was changing.
"But... why now? Why did it just wake up now?"
"Because you were pushed to your limit," Lance said softly, brushing his fingers against my cheek. "When you fought to protect us, when you almost died... that was when your true potential unlocked. Danger... and love... they awakened what was sleeping inside you."
Just then, the door burst open again. This time, it was the Elder, the oldest and wisest wolf in our pack. He walked in slowly, his eyes wide as he looked at me.
"My child..." he whispered, his voice trembling. "I can feel it. The aura... it is exactly as described in the ancient scrolls."
He walked closer and bowed his head deeply.
"Welcome back, Your Highness."
I looked at Lance, completely stunned. Your Highness?
Lance smiled and squeezed my hand. "It is true, Elana. You are not just my Luna anymore. You are the Princess of the Wolves. And together... we will bring peace and order back to this world."
I took a deep breath and stood up. The pain was gone, replaced by a warm, golden light flowing inside me. I felt tall. I felt strong. I felt... complete.
"Then let them come," I said, my voice steady and clear. "If they want me, they will have to face the Queen."
