📖 CHAPTER VI
THE ROYAL LIFE
Everything happened so fast that it felt like I was living in a beautiful dream. Just a few weeks ago, I was just a simple omega girl living in a small house, worrying about money and medicine. And now... I was standing in the grandest palace in the realm, holding the hand of the most powerful man alive.
Lance didn't let go of my hand even for a second. He guided me through the long hallways, showing me everything. The walls were decorated with expensive paintings and the floors were made of shiny marble. Everywhere we went, servants and guards would stop and bow deeply.
"Your Majesty," I whispered softly as we walked. "Isn't it too much? I mean... all of this... for me?"
Lance looked at me and smiled. He stopped walking and turned to face me. He gently tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.
"Elana, you are my Mate," he said seriously. "You are the future Queen. You deserve nothing but the best. Everything I have, everything I own... it is all yours now. You don't have to feel shy or unworthy. You are perfect just the way you are."
His words made my heart swell with so much love. I nodded and smiled back at him.
He led me to a huge set of double doors. Two guards opened it for us immediately.
When I stepped inside, my eyes went wide in amazement.
It was the biggest and most beautiful room I had ever seen. It was like a whole apartment! There was a huge bed in the middle covered with silk sheets, a big fireplace, a dressing table full of mirrors, and even a balcony that overlooked the entire kingdom.
"This..." Lance said proudly, "is our room."
"O-Our?" I stuttered, blushing hard.
"Yes," he grinned, walking closer to me until there was no space left between us. "I want to sleep next to you. I want to wake up and see your face first thing in the morning. I don't want to be away from you anymore, Elana."
I buried my face on his chest, feeling so shy but so happy. "Okay..."
Just then, there was a knock on the door. A group of servants came in carrying piles of beautiful clothes, shoes, and jewelry.
"Your Majesty, these are the new gowns prepared for the Lady Elana," one of them said.
They laid out the most gorgeous dresses I had ever seen. They were made of silk, satin, and lace. There were different colors—blue, red, purple, and white. They looked so expensive and elegant.
"Wow..." I couldn't help but touch one of the dresses. It was so soft.
"Try them on, my love," Lance said excitedly, sitting on the sofa and watching me with loving eyes. "I want to see how beautiful you look in them."
The maids helped me change into a light blue gown. It fit me perfectly! It made me look taller and more feminine. When I walked out of the changing screen, I saw Lance's jaw drop slightly.
He stood up and walked towards me, his eyes scanning my body from head to toe, filled with admiration and desire.
"Beautiful..." he whispered, holding my waist and spinning me around gently. "You look absolutely stunning, Elana. I am the luckiest man alive."
"Thank you," I said, smiling happily.
For the first time in my life, I didn't feel like a weak, useless omega. I felt special. I felt beautiful. And it was all because of him.
He pulled me into his arms and hugged me tightly.
"Get some rest now, my Queen. You had a long journey. Later, I will take you to the Grand Dining Hall for dinner. I want everyone in the palace to see how beautiful my Mate is."
