Having waited for about half an hour, I met up with Helen, Frank and Ken just outside the entrance of the Bay Area National Park. Helen and Frank weren’t too happy to be dragged away from wherever they had been prior to my call but given that Janet was still missing, I hadn’t given them much of a choice. I walked up to the unmarked car as Helen slowly drove in and leaned down beside the open window of the driver’s seat. ‘Don’t bother getting out,’ I told her. ‘We’re heading off again.’ ‘Where to?’ Helen frowned. ‘LeCornu’s,’ I grinned cheekily, repeating the phrase from a well-known local television advertisement only to be met with an annoyed glare from Helen. ‘Playtapus Summit.
