There was an old saying in the military - never go into enemy territory unprepared. Fiona and I made our way towards the warehouse where Gaia was being held. While we knew exactly where Gaia had been before she was stunned by Angela, we had no idea whether she had been moved or not. Due to the concern we had for Gaia’s actual well-being, we had decided to bring our medical officer, Aaron Friedman, with us.
We had just turned down a sidestreet towards the warehouse when we noticed a white Toyota reversing out into the main street and speed off. Fiona and I exchanged glanced for a brief second.
‘We better get after them. It’s our only chance keeping track of them,’ Fiona suggested but I wasn’t so sure.
‘They can wait,’ I decided, parking outside the warehouse and opening the door.
