The Lovers: Annet And Pejay

They talked happily to each other as they bought an iced cream from the jeune fille who was selling there at one of the corners of the park. Pejay was one who paid off the iced cream and Annet was so astounded due to the gentleness and mildness or thoughtfulness of the former.

They sat down on the dusty and cemented bench. Pejay got his newly-pressed towel and wipe off the dusts on the bench making Annet very at ease upon seating down on it. They looked at the different flowers having the different colors that attract one’s eyes. On their right side, there was a red Sunflower, on their left side, there is a pink Santan, at their back, there is a green Roses, and in front of them, there is a violet Daisy. Also, they watched the different birds happily flying above the different branches of Avocado trees.

Pejay: (very happy)... I am so lucky and blessed to have you in my life, Annet.

Annet: (wondering)...What? Are you kidding, Pejay? Why are you so lucky and blessed? You were the one who paid the iced cream we ate, then you are lucky and blessed to have me in your life?

Pejay: (smiling)... Yes, I am. It is because my day is complete if you are here beside me. I do not mind the money I spent to buy anything for us. What is the most important for me is your presence, Annet.

{On the other hand, Mang Okas was very hungry that is why he went to the garbage container, looking for tidbit of food that could cure his starvation. He did not still know how to restore himself from being a small ant into ashes forming an old man for his black magic did not work properly.}

Mang Okas: (very little voice)... Oh, there is no food here. What is here is only the peelings of fruits and candy wrappers. I do not find any crumb of food. What should I do? I am already hungry!

{Then, nang Ipay went to the store bringing some pennies to buy salts. Going back to the park where Annet and Pejay met, the two were happily talking to each other.}
