CHAPTER TENThe day arrived, and the alphas gathered. Nelly and Morbius stood by to welcome them.“The alphas have arrived,” the steward announced. “Alpha James Alpines of Green Woods Pack and Luna Emma.”“Welcome, Alpha James,” Nelly greeted.“Welcome, Alpha Emma,” Morbius added.“Thank you, Alpha Nelly and Beta Morbius. I'm looking forward to the challenge,” Alpha James replied confidently.Next came Alpha Herman of Royal Moon Pack and Luna Isabella.“Welcome, Alpha Herman and Luna Isabella,” Nelly greeted them warmly.“Thank you, Alpha Nelly,” they both responded before heading into the pack house.Then, it was Alpha David and Luna Pepa of the Lumina Pack.“Welcome, Alpha David and Luna Pepa,” Nelly greeted them.“Thank you,” they both replied with a nod.Finally, Alpha Mimosa and her mate Kennedy of Sterling Pack arrived.“Welcome, Alpha Mimosa and Kennedy. Or is it Luna?” Nelly inquired.“For now, it's just mate,” Kennedy responded with a smirk before they walked into the pack house.As the evening progressed, tensions rose between Alpha James and Nelly. Words were exchanged, and tempers flared until it escalated into a physical confrontation."I won't stand for your arrogance, Alpha James!" Nelly barked, her eyes blazing with fury. She lunged forward, her claws extending.Alpha James met her attack head-on, his own claws flashing in the moonlight. The two clashed, their snarls filling the air as they grappled with each other.Meanwhile, Luna Emma stepped forward, her voice calm yet firm. "James, enough. This is not why we're here."Alpha James hesitated, his gaze flickering to his Luna.
