Addy’s POV The red sun is high in the sky when the wolf beneath me comes to a halt. There is a small creek nearby, so I imagine we’re stopping for water, which I’m grateful for. The man who calls himself Nicholas offers his hand to help me climb down from the wolf’s back. His piercing, red eyes have a strange glow to them, and I’m not sure how I’m supposed to interpret it. But I’d be lying if I said he wasn’t attractive. As I place my hand into his broad palm, it makes me feel a mixture of emotions that I’m not prepared to work through just yet. Right now, all I want is something to drink, and some food would be nice too. We’ve been running all through the night, and I’m starting to feel a little delirious from the lack of sleep. Turning away from the wolf, I allow him some privacy
