Nick’s POV “Addy?” As soon as I come to, her name is the first word I speak, even before my eyes open. With a groan, I push myself from the cold, stone floor onto all fours, blinking furiously to bring my vision back into focus. “Addy? Where are you?” “I’m here…” Following the sound of her voice, I glance over to find her stirring on the ground near me, and Nicholas is kneeling beside her, helping her sit up. Crawling over to the two of them, I scan her arms and legs for any injuries. “It pleases me to see the great Nicholas of the House of Ourey on his knees before me.” The low, deep voice booms throughout the room, and Addy immediately tenses up.
