Four more people come onto the bus. Two scantily clad female teenagers, one with brown hair and one with blonde, an obese black man with a grease-stained bag of McDonald’s, and a sharply dressed man with a briefcase.
The blonde teen taps each seat as she passes by to sit in front of the seat I was sitting in earlier. Wearing jean short shorts, a school letterman jacket, and high-tops, the two friends are chewing gum and being rather obnoxious. The seat tapper blows a large bubble. She cackles as she turns to her friend to show that it popped all over her face. They both laugh. Other passengers are watching them, as well. The girl proceeds to take the hand she tapped on the seats and pull her gum out of her mouth to dab the remaining gum left on her chin and nose.
