Chapter 11: The Clash (1)

An explosion sounded in the air as the energy and forces of two youths clashed, stirring the air and the cheers of the people watching. One of the youths seemed to be sixteen years old,he had long black hair, enrobed in a black battle suit, his attacks were fierce and merciless as he struck his opponent who seemed to be heavily injured.

His opponent was a youth who looked no older than fifteen years old with long pale-blue hair, skin smooth and tender like a baby’s, a face which could arouse envy from both males and females alike and to crown it all, a deep and profound blue eyes in his sockets. Yes we all know him, he’s Adrian. But his present situation was not looking good as his opponent, Arthur was aiming to worsen his injuries.

Arthur happened to be the last child of the present Patriarch’s cousin and he was at the Ninth rank of the Body Refinement realm but his battle power and strength cannot be measured by normal standard, as he was from the mainline of the Scarlet family, he possessed strength above people at the same cultivation and due to possession of high talent and exposure to rich cultivation resources,he could be said to be the top amongst cultivators at the Body Refinement realm. As the Four Seasons academy’s competition drew near, the higher-ups of the Scarlet house allowed their younger ones to spar with each other in order to measure strength and who knows_ _ _gain enlightenment. Such spars were deemed useful as it stimulated one’s potential and increased the urge to get stronger.

But from a glance, even an i***t could tell that this spar will not produce any of the aforementioned effect. This was purely a malicious act to beat, humiliate and severely injure the opponent. Although Adrian was at the seventh rank of the same realm and had great battle power and comprehension he was still being trashed.

“Pui_ _ _!!” Arthur’s malevolent fist struck Adrian on the chest and he spewed a mouthful of blood as he flew through the air before landing unsteadily on the ground.

“Tsk! Tsk!, you won’t stay down huh?”Arthur clicked his tongue and spoke in a dissatisfied and disdainful tone. He had been fighting Adrian for over an hour, but the frustrating and surprising part was that he couldn’t crush this long-time opponent of his despite having a higher cultivation than him. It was really vexing!

‘Seems like I have to use my ultimate skill’ Arthur thought as he prepared himself.

“I said I will beat you till your face is can no longer be recognized.” Arthur spoke in anger as he channeled the blood and energy in his body to move in a unique way. The energy exuding from his body rose a level higher as the air around him changed and his aura underwent a change. A scorching air blew across the arena as Arthur charged towards Adrian at high speed.

“Bloodline power!!”

“Bloodline power, he really activated it just to deal with this guy.”

“He had not much of an option left, that Adrian was like a pest who won’t stay down.”

“Ah! He is done for.” Most of the spectators spoke as they looked at Arthur.

Adrian grimaced, in his current state he would be in bed for weeks if he got hit by that palm.

“Scorching dragon palm.”

Arthur roared as his figure approached Adrian. Adrian who already lost his fighting power could only watch as the palm approached. The current Arthur was using a mid-Earth tier technique paired with his bloodline power, his current state could be called overpowered.The people on the spectating stand continued to look on with pity,disdain or joy as no one moved to interfere in the battle. Some of them wanted to, but remembering Arthur’s background and that the fight in the arena could only end with one party conceding defeat or outrightly defeated, they backed off. To them it was stupid to offend Arthur for Adrian.

“Stop!!” A crisp voice sounded as a figure moved to block Arthur’s blow.

“Boom!!”

An explosion occurred as dirt was thrown into the air creating a cloud of dust. Arthur felt like he hit a metal wall and a recoil force came flowing through his hands to his whole body as his figure flew out of the dust cloud and landed heavily outside the arena.

“Who dares?!!” Arthur who was already in a disheveled and wretched state roared in anger as he struggled to get up from the ground, he was certain that at least three of his ribs snapped, his right arm was on the verge of loosing its feeling and he had blood leaking from his lips.

The spectators were shocked at the turn of events as they were curious to know who was courageous enough to block Arthur’s blow or interfere in his matter despite knowing his backing, unless the person was a retard.

As the dust settled, the spectators squinted their eyes and stretched their necks to see who the dare-devil was,but seeing the person they knew she wasn’t a retard but she was indeed a daredevil. The figure of a girl stood in front of Adrian as she stared coldly at Arthur who just managed to stand up. The girl seemed no younger than sixteen, possessing an air of elegance and nobility,she had ink-black hair which fell like a waterfall all the way down to her slender waist, face peerless and beautiful more than anything in the world and a perfect figure, she could be described as a beauty who could topple nations and cause war. Most of the males on the stand looked at her with admiration,love and all sorts of emotions,while most females were envious and somehow ashamed of their own looks. She was Tina, princess of the Scarlet house. But unfortunately this beauty didn’t care about the looks she was receiving, she only stared coldly at the figure before her.

“Arthur, injuring a fellow house member to this degree without qualms or conscience, you indeed have a large gut.” Tina spoke in a cold tone as the aura of someone at the fourth sky of Element Gathering realm surged towards Arthur scaring the s**t out of him.

“Tina came to protect this guy.” A guy in the spectating stand spoke, the aura he released was of the second sky of the Element Gathering realm and he happened to be the strongest on the stand excluding Tina.

“Indeed, but what right does he have to receive such treatment?” Another spoke in an envious tone. The aura he released was of the first sky of Element Gathering realm only weaker than the guy before. There were about seven people at the same realm with him and they had Vice-elders and other notable people in the house behind them, some even had elders backing them, as for the other people on stage, they were all at the Body Refinement realm.

Most of them were aware of how protective Tina was towards Adrian and will not stand it if anyone messed with him. They knew this from childhood as they had occasionally interacted with the duo due to their parents or relations having higher status in the house.

As Arthur found himself in a tight situation and unable to counter Tina as the aura from her made him sweat profusely and breathless, a figure sped through the arena and appeared in front of him blocking the terrifying aura.

“Brother!” Arthur shouted in joy and relief as he saw the person standing before him. He was Terry, Arthur’s older brother and the eldest son of Tina’s uncle. Terry released his aura at the third sky as it clashed with Tina’s aura, but he wasn’t finding it easy, but backing down was not an option.

“You will dare to injure a core member of the family for a mere nobody, an outsider, a bastard with unknown blood and origin?” Terry’s voice boomed across the arena as he faced Tina. Since he couldn’t defeat her strength-wise, he chose to attack her through her actions. Everyone in the Scarlet house knew that Adrian who was once seen and revered as the last young lord of the Scarlet house was actually someone who was picked up from the streets. It was no new knowledge as it had been so since three years ago when one of the higher-ups discovered this.

Most of the family youths were angry at the thought of how the house’s resources were given and lavished on an outsider other than them.

“That’s true Tina, although you are the daughter of the patriarch your actions are wrong.” One of the youths who had a strong backing in the house spoke. He was the youth at second sky of Element Gathering realm and his grandfather was an Elder in the house.

“Indeed she’s wrong.”

“Apologize.”

“That Adrian of a guy should leave the Scarlet house.”

“Yes go back to the streets you belong.”

“Scram.”

Seeing his words produce the desired effect as the people on the spectating stand turned on Tina, Terry grinned evilly and stood firmly with puffed out chest as he locked eyes with Tina. His gaze seemed to be asking Tina: ‘what now?’

Tina only looked coldly at all of them before turning her gaze towards Terry and Arthur.

“Apologize? What a joke.” Her cold and emotionless voice sounded as her aura became more fierce.

“You are to apologize to Adrian or else I will break your legs today.” Hearing her domineering and cold voice, the spectators were surprised and speechless. When did it turn from her apologizing to Arthur apologizing? A great silence ensued,even those with strong backing dared not make a peep as the knew more than anyone how terrifying she can be when she gets angry.

“This_ _ _” Terry was dumbfounded as Tina didn’t back down as expected. He knew she was stubborn, but this level of dominance exerted by her was his first time seeing it. ‘Her actions didn’t follow the script at all, how can she be so unreasonable and unyielding?’ Meanwhile Arthur who was behind his brother grimaced as he heard Tina’s words, he thought he was saved since his elder brother was here, but before he could fully rejoice, he was plunged back to his ugly situation. Although broken bones could be healed in this world, but the pain was still heart-wrenching. A visible change could be noticed in the atmosphere as a fiery aura seeped into the air, thankfully the spectators already were at a far distance and had evacuated the area_ _ _She was angry!!
