Past Came Back

“Hola Sophia. Breakfast is ready.” “I’ll be down in a minute. Let me finish waking up.” “I’ll wait here to take you.” “Thank you.” The little girl nodded her head then I shut the door. I went into the bathroom and did my morning routine. I checked my phone and saw Kyree sent me a message. “Goodmorning beautiful. You fell asleep while we were talking last night but that’s okay. Text me when you wake up. I love you baby.” I smiled really hard then texted back. “Hey babe. I just got up and I heard what you said when you thought I was asleep. That was super cute and I love you too. I’m about to head to breakfast then go for my usual run with Cole.” I set my phone down then went to breakfast. Everyone was still wearing what they went to sleep in so I wasn’t alone.  I sat down and had a cup of coffee then started eating the eggs and toast that was on my plate. Ismael came out of his office and joined everyone. “Good morning.” All of us said it back. “Ismael, are there any good routes to run through Colombia?” “Why do you ask?” “Every morning I try to either run or workout and I thought a run would be fun since I’m here and not at home.” “Well I wouldn’t know about running but I do have a full gym that you could use. If you would like to go for a run you are more than welcome. Just take one of my guys with you so he can guide you.” “Thank you.” I finished eating breakfast then went up to my room and changed into leggings and a tee shirt. I threw on my running shoes then threw my hair up. I walked out and found Cole then a man walked up to us. “I’m Miguel. I’ll be running with you two.” “That’s fine with me.” We walked outside and started stretching. Once we were done we started running down the road then started going through the neighborhood. We ran to the other side of the hood then I got a call. “I have to take this, it’s my husband.” “We’ll give you some privacy.” I answered the call. “Hey babe.” “Hey, what’s going on?” “Nothing much, just on a run with Cole and one of Ismaels men, Miguel. He’s guiding us so we don’t get shot or lost.” We laughed. “Well good. I’m glad to hear that you’re doing okay.” “Yeah everythings been-” A van pulled up in front of me and four men jumped out with guns. They threw a bag over my head then tied my wrists and ankles together then threw me in the van. They took off then I heard shots then Cole and Miguel screaming at the van.  “Be still and don’t make a sound. We have people watching your family and will kill your sons if you do not cooperate. Do you understand?” “Yes.” They kept driving then we started going onto gravel. Straight, left, left, right, straight, right, straight, here. They dragged me out of the van and it sounded like we were at a private airport. They took me onto the plane and shoved me into a seat. I heard a phone ring. “Boss, we have her. Okay, understood. Be there tomorrow for dinner.” Dinner? Why is it important that I be there for dinner?  “Yes boss. I’ll have one of the women get her ready. No, she’s said one word.” He got closer to me then took the bag off. He took a picture of my face and sent it to the man. “We got the right woman. All she’s done is answer one question with one word. She’s remained silent since.” He looked at me then nodded. “Understood.” He hung up then sat across from me. He looked me up and down for a minute. “Didn’t your mother ever teach you it’s not nice to stare? Or do you not know your mommy you pathetic piece of s**t?” “Watch your mouth whore.” “w***e? You probably don’t know who your father is and I’m the w***e?” He stood up and was angry. Good. This is exactly how I want him. “You have some nerve. I thought you were supposed to be this big, bad, tough woman but all I see is a weak girl.” “This weak girl is going to enjoy skinning you alive while your family watches every moment. Then when I’m bored with you, you’ll be forced to watch me slowly kill everyone that you love and let you live, knowing that you couldn’t do a damn thing because you are nothing more than a lap bitch.” He started clenching his fist. “Hit me. See how much your boss likes it when I’m at that dinner with a bruise.” His man stood up. “She’s right you know. Boss would kill every one of us if she’s hurt.” He just stared at me in the eyes. “One of you watch her. I’ll be back.” He walked away then the guy sighed then sat across from me. I closed my eyes and started controlling my breathing. I felt another aura with the man sitting with me. “You’ve lost someone recently. Someone who raised you and you looked up to.” He looked shocked. “My grandmother.” “I’m sorry for your loss. Here, look through my necklace.” I tilted my head down so he could take it off of me. He did then looked through it. “Is this your family?” “My husband and my sons. What was your grandmother's name?” “Rosalinda.” I smiled. “She’s with you every day. Watching over you and protecting you. Talk to her spirit more.” He nodded his head. “What’re your sons' names?” “Amare is the oldest, Dima is the white one and De’Andre is the shorter one. Then Kyree is my husband.” “You have an attractive family.” “Thank you. Considering Dima and Amare are adopted.” He looked confused. “I adopted Dima and Amare a few years ago. I took them in from a molester and gave them a fair opportunity to be in a home where they will be loved and raised properly.” He smiled then nodded his head. “You’re a good woman.” I got quiet. “Then help me.” “I can’t. My boss-” “He wouldn’t know. I would protect you and help you. Name your price.” “Sophia I can’t help you.” “Then be my ally. Maybe you can’t get me out of here but you can at least help keep me alive.” “My boss wants you alive anyways.” “To kill me?” He chuckled. “Quite the opposite. He wants you.” I cringed.  “You should be used to men wanting you.” “Sure. But k********g me because you're too horny to handle? That’s a low blow. And legally, he could never truly be with me because I’m married.” “I don’t know. Truly, I don’t know.” I shook my head. “Just, help me.” He sighed. “If you help me, when I escape, I will give you anything that you could imagine. Money, fame, girls, anything and everything.” He nodded his head then looked around. “You have a deal.” The other guy came back and saw us talking. “What’re you two doing?” I sat up and chuckled. “Awe, someone jealous?” “You wish.” “Oh, you think so?” He scoffed then sat down.  “Look, it’s going to be a long flight so just sit back and chill.” “Fine.” I sat back and I started breathing. I slipped into astral projection. I was sitting at the water trying not to break down.  “Please, please help me.” I shook my head knowing that no one could hear me. I screamed at the top of my lungs then broke down. I sat there crying by the water for what felt like minutes. I heard my name then came back. “I thought you were dead.” “I wish I was.” He shook his head. “We are landing so I have to put the bag-” “No. You are not putting that thing back over my head.” He put my necklace back on me then put the bag. He walked me off the plane then to the truck. They drove for ten minutes then we arrived. They took me in through the doors and up the stairs. They took the bag and the ties off of me.  A few women came into the room and started doing my hair then my makeup. They made me put on the skin tight short black dress that was off the shoulders and black heels. I looked in the mirror and I couldn’t recognise myself. I look like me from almost eight years ago. They left me alone for a few minutes and I just focused on my breathing.  Someone walked into the room I was in. “Let's go.” “Where?” “Just come on.” “No.” He grabbed my arm and went to drag me but I ripped my arm out of his grip and swung at him. I grabbed his gun and slammed the butt of the gun against his head, knocking him out. I ran out of the room and started running down the hall. I took the heels off and carried them with me. Three men came running down the hall and I shot all three of them.  I felt hands grab my arms but I yanked them out of the guy's grip and shot him in the knee. I grabbed his phone out of his pocket. I took off running outside and ran to the gate then slid through the bars. I started running down the road but I was cut off by a truck. I turned left and started running through the forest. I started going towards houses and knocked on a door. “Help me, please.” An older lady opened the door. “My dear, what happened to you?” “I was kidn*pped. Can I come inside? I need to call my husband.” “Of course dear.” She let me in and I opened the phone. I dialed Kyrees number and called him. “Hello?” “Kyrees? It’s me.” “What happened to you? Are you okay? No one can find you.” I turned to the lady. “Where are we?” “Port Angels, Washington.” “I’m in Port Angels Washington.” “Get to the police.” “Can’t, they are probably paid off.” “We have contacts there.” “Babe I can’t do that!” “Okay! Get to the safe house in Washington. I am about to get on the plane.” “Okay. I love you.” “I love you too. Dispose of this phone and leave now.” I closed the phone and grabbed her hammer. I smashed it then threw it away. “Thank you. I have to leave.” “Here, my daughter left clothes here. Follow me.” She walked me to the back of the house and I changed into a tank top and sweats. I grabbed a hoodie and a pair of shoes. Thankfully we are around the same size. I gave her a hug then sprinted out the door. I kept running until I felt like my legs were going to give out. A car pulled up in front of me and two guys jumped out and grabbed me. They threw me in the backseat and held a gun to my stomach. “I have to say, I’m impressed. You took out five of my men within ten minutes. You’re one tough woman to find but luckily, I know how you look when you’re running.” He started rubbing my thigh so I socked him in the side of the face with my fist. He wiped the blood off of his face. “You can hit.” “Pro boxer for almost ten years. You should’ve done your research about me before trying to hold me captive.” “Anything else I should know?” I noticed that the passenger seat was empty so I climbed up there and took control of the wheel. I ran us off the road but before we crashed, I jumped out of the car. I ran to the end of the street then I heard gunshots. I kept going, then I made it into a small business. “Hi, umm.” I chuckled. “What can I help you with?” “I’m looking for a phone and somewhere to hide.” “From?” “Men that kidn*pped me from Colombia while I was on a business trip. I’m from Illinois, I’m the owner of Lions’ Liquors?” “Why do you need a phone? I’m calling the police.” “Can’t, they are paid off. I need to call my husband.” “What for?” He handed me the phone. “He’s on his way here. I’m trying to call him to let him know that-” I felt something hit the back of the head, knocking me out. I woke up on the bed with the same dress and heels on and my makeup redone. There was a man sitting in the corner of the room. “Who are you?” “You’ve aged ten years well Sophia.” “Who are you?” “You don’t remember me?” “No. I don’t remember every egomaniac I meet.” “Theo Ricci.” I scoffed. “We did business together then the moment I needed your support, you ran.” “It was too early in the business. Plus you asked me to go to war for you!” “Why am I here Theo?” “You belong to me now.” I scoffed again. “I belong to no one. Not even my husband.” “So you did marry him.” “Eight years ago.” “I see. Well, you’re mine now. You try fighting, your sons will be killed. You keep fighting, your husband next. Then your brothers, nieces and nephews, in laws, everyone.” “Why?” “Because I have been in love with you since I met you Sophia.” I shook my head. He walked over to me and I crossed my legs. “Don’t fight me. I’m not going to hurt you.” He tried to separate my legs. “Just let me.” “Why should I?” “Because if you let me, you can call your son.” I closed my eyes and took a breath.  “Which one?” “Whoever you want.” I nodded my head and let him separate my thighs. He pulled the dress up and slowly traced along my pantie line. I flinched at his touch and tried pretending he was Kyree. I let my head fill with thoughts of him to try to block out what he was doing. He rolled me over and ran his hands over my hips. “I’ve wanted to do this for a long time.” I let him do whatever he wanted with the hope I could talk to my sons. Once he was done, he rolled me over. “You can get up now.” I got up and fixed the dress and panties. He handed me a phone. “Call your sons. Don’t mention you are with me.” I nodded my head and dialed Amares number. “Mama?” “Amare? Baby it’s me.” “Mom, where are you? Are you safe?” “I’m okay but I can’t talk long. Are you and your brothers okay? How’s your dad doing?” “We are okay but worried. Mom, we need to find you.” “No, don’t. Amare know that I have always loved you okay? All of you.” I heard Dima and De’Andre. “Amare put me on speaker please.” “You are now.” “Dima and De’Andre, I need you two to be strong okay? Promise me boys.” “I promise mommy.” “I promise.” “Amare, keep them safe.” “We are going to find you mom. We will.” “I love all three of you with everything I have. Keep Kyree stable okay? Promise me boys.” “I promise.” “Of course mom.” “I promise mommy.” “Never forget what I’ve taught you boys. Please, protect each other. Always and forever boys.” He took the phone and hung up. I sat down and tried holding back the tears. “Are you happy now?” I looked up at him with nothing but sadness and hatred. “You see, I didn’t have to let you call your boys. Be grateful.” I scoffed. “You just assaulted me and all I get is a phone call to my sons basically telling them that I will never see them again.” “Ahh, no one said never. You can have visitations but later when I can trust you to not run away. But, while you were asleep we moved to a different house. We are no longer in Washington. So, don’t count on being found anytime soon.” He walked out of the room and I started sobbing. I went into the corner of the room then sank to the ground and just sobbed. I stayed there the whole night and every time someone tried to get me out, I wouldn’t move. A girl walked in. “You’re Sophia?” I just looked at her. “Look, I know how you feel.” “Really? Were you just torn away from your family and r***d in order to tell your sons that you will never see them again? Did you just have to tell your oldest son to make sure that his father doesn’t get himself killed because if my husband dies, I have nothing left.” “You have your sons-” “Have you ever been in love? Met someone that completes you and makes you, well you?” “No.” “Then you don’t know. My husband is the only person that if they died, I did too.” “Your sons would then lose both of their parents. They need you.” “Look at where I am! They already lost both parents!” She looked down. “Get out.” She shook her head. “I know what it’s like losing both parents. A rival broke in and killed them in front of me.” “Let me guess, Theo sent you in here with your sob story to try to convince me that he’s not a bad guy and that he wants to make me happy?” She chuckled. “Okay, fine. I’ve been dating Theo this whole time. He changed my appearance so I looked like you and would call me your name. Okay, so I have no empathy for you.” I stood up and she was shocked. “You want him, keep him. I want out of here and to be with my f*****g husband so don’t play that with me. I don’t give a damn about Theo. I haven’t even thought about him in seven years.” She stormed out of the room and I chuckled. I took the heels off and grabbed the sweats and hoodie in the drawer and put them on. I went into the bathroom and washed the makeup off. The door opened and closed. I walked back into the bedroom and Theo was standing there with the girl. “So you don’t want me?” “Never did, never will. I love Kyree and have since I met him. He is my everything and always will be and no matter how many times you r**e me will not change that. It’ll make me hate you more.” He shook his head. “Kyree is a little boy.” “A little boy that has my back. When I needed you what did you do?” “That was eight years ago Sophia. I’m different.” “Yeah, now you’re dumb enough to kidnap me and assult me. Mark my words, something happens to my husband, I will kill myself. Then you would have nothing left.” I could see him get angry and sad at the same time.  “You wouldn’t.” I chuckled then walked over to the mirror sitting on the table. I punched the glass and grabbed a shard then held it to my throat. The girl covered her face scared and Theo took a step towards me. “Stop walking or else I will.” “Sophia, think about what will happen to your family.” “No, don’t try that on me. You don’t think I haven’t trained myself mentally for the day that I died? I do not fear death Theo. Staying here is worse than death.” He slowly walked closer to me but I grabbed the girl and put the shard to her throat. “You know I wouldn’t hesitate to kill her. You’ve seen me torture men and woman with a straight face, covered in blood.” “She has nothing to deal with this.” “So you do care for her?” “What makes you think that?” “If you didn’t care about her you would let me kill her then take the shard of glass from me. But since you are pleading for her life, you must have some love for her.” He nodded his head. “I do care for her. She’s been by my side for a long time.” “So you know how it feels. To see someone you care about, about to be ripped away from you. How does it feel?” “Please Sophia, Don’t hurt her.” “Why?” “Because she has a family.” “So do I!” He just stared at me so I chuckled.  “Maybe I should kill her. Let this be a warning to you Theo.” “Sophia don’t!”
