CHAPTER 7: His Mate

I took Daniella to the rooftop and sealed the area with sound barrier. Ok! What do you want to talk about ? Daniella said and I made a gesture with my hand for her to sit.
First I want to apologize for not telling you about this. I know it's just been two weeks since we met, but I already see you as the sisrer I always wished to have. But in this case we vampires have rules that we follow.
Our existence is supposed to be seen as a myth nothing else and is not to be know by humans.
That is why our king brought up the idea of the vampire movies so that when a vampire is exposed, people will think that the person is wearing a costume and nothing else.
If you were any other person your memory would have been erased. I saw the way she looked at me like I have grown an additional head.
What do your mean by if I was anyone else? She asked and I sighed. My brother will kill me for this .
I really can't tell you everything, my brother will have to tell you himself. I took a deep breath here it comes.
10 years ago, a prophesy was made by the moon goddess herself. That my brother who was to be Alpha King will be mated to a human.
It wasn't such a bad thing as there have been cases were vampires are mated to human.
That human is normally blessed with special power maybe not as other vampires but with constant training and also according to his or her strength as a human before being marked them he or she can be as strong as an average vampires .
But then unlike regular vampires we are from the linage of pure vampire that is the created vampires not the turned ones so we have stronger bloods and you may have noticed I said Alpha King. We also have the blood of the lycanthrope which are the strongest wolfs.
So our vimpire races use Alpha to describe their leader and the overall leader just as you humans call it president, we call him Alpha King.
With our special physical strength also comes the strengthening of our venom. With that of an Alpha King or Prince been more stronger, which even an average vampires can barely survive not to talk of waek humans. I paused and stared at Daniella to see her paying attention. I nodded and continued.
You see my mother was human. And we've always know her to be sickly but never knew why. My brother was close to mom as I was close to dad .
When she died my brother couldn't take it and till today my brother hasn't recovered from the death of mom.
Growing up we understood that our mothers body could not take the strength of the venom and therefore was always sick.
So my brother decided to perform a ritual that will make him unable to sense his mate .
But if he was to find her, the spell will be forcefully caged which will cause him pain till he marks his mate.
When I was done I raised my head to look at Daniella. This is the only thing I can tell her it's left for my brother to decide if he wants to tell her about mothers death.
Wait I get what you said but I don't know what that has got to do with me. Danny said and I signed.
I hope my bro won't kill me for this.
Well the thing is Daniella you you are his mate.
I paused and waited for her reaction but didn't hear any thing .
I stared at her only to find her looking at me like I was the biggest joker in the world.
Well I don't blame her.

What the fxck did I just hear? His mate? Wait is there any hidden camera anywhere? Maybe she is acting a scene in a movie.
I stared at Magret seriously and she didn't seem to be joked.

Look Magret I'm sorry for all you had to pass through, but I didn't ask for this I'm not gonna sacrifice my humanhood.... Wait is there word like that? What ever .. I won't sacrifice my humanity for all this .
I pray nothing happens to him but I can't do this... I'll just ask the sergeant for a change of room. I said and was about to walk out when Magret stopped me.
It's the general you have to talk to about changing your room. She said and I scoffed and walked out.
Ask the general my foot. Wait she said general and never said who. Good I'll ask general Khalid then.
I was walking to General Khalid's office when I saw General Donovan walking towards my direction.
I sware I wanted to run away or hide some where , but he has already seen me so I decided to act brave and walk pass him as though I never saw him.
But who would've thought of that this devil has his own idea .
And I regretted my decision to act bold. when even i myself know that I am no where near being bold.
When he was close to me, he stopped. I wanted to walk pass him but he held my hand and stopped my movement.

I stared at Daniella and sighed inwards . How long has it been? Two weeks and I'm already helplessly in love with her.
And to think I performed that ritual. What would have been the outcome if I didn't perform that ritual?
Who knows I might have been crawling on my knees to please her..... well it's not as if I ain't doing it now!!
"The hell". I was surprised at my own thought.
Jeez! what do you want? She spat out.
Nothing much just guessed that you would want a change of room so I came to tell you that I've already told the sergeant to change your room. And don't worry this time, you're staying alone .
I saw her eyes soften a little and my heart skipped a beat.
Will this make her think good of me? I smiled at that thought.
Just then she stared at me warily. Like I am a lion feeding it's prey while waiting for it to grow fat before devouring it.
You don't have to look at me that way. I mean no harm .
It's my fault for bringing you into this mess. If I was never born maybe you will not be mated to any vampire.
" I'm sorry.
I tried to act pitiful to gain her favor.
Things a guy can do for love.

I looked at general Donovan in shock...

I saluted him and walked out more like ran out of his sight.
I am grateful he changed my room but .. ... That man is a ticking time bomb....
