I've been staring at Danny since we stepped out of the hall. I know she might be thinking if he heard or not, because he was staring at her when he smirked.
That brother of mine jeez!
Danny snap out of it what's going on in your mind you've been quiet since we left the hall . I ask as I watched her biting her fingers.
Erm.... Maggie is your brother a vampire? Cus I read they have supernatural hearing ability and can hear even from a far distance.
When I heard this I was shocked . How could she guess so correctly.
I immediately composed my self so she would not have any suspicion.
Well that's how my brother is , always mysterious. I said and she just signed .
I know he is your brother but I kinda feel scared any time he stared at me I just don't know why. She said and I nodded.
I understand there are sometimes when he also scares the s**t outta me .
We talked for a while before we came to the dining table and sat together. Then a boy joined us.
'Baby girl'. He called out while kissing Daniella on her cheek . Are they dating? I stared at him from head to toes. Well he looks quite handsome .
Hey guys I'm still here. I said waving my hands and they turn to me .
Oh sorry my name is Nickel the handsome guy introduced himself. Magret I replied.
We all chatted while eating our dinner, before returning to our dorms.
GENERAL DONOVAN
It's been a week since the recruit arrived. We haven't started full training proper but I've used these one week to build up their endurance and agility.
I lay on the bed after having a little chat with my buddy.
My mind drifted to my sister's friend. Through out this week I've noted that she seems to be the only one that is not the least fascinated by my looks.
Seriously I should be greatful but I don't know why I feel frustrated. Most times I find myself staring at the mirror.
Am I no longer that handsome?

Why does she affect me so much?
Why do I have that nagging feelings?
Why do I feel attracted to her?
"Damn"!
I threw the pillow in frustration. I'm not supposed to be having these feelings it's not right.
Does that mean she is the one?
No...... no that is simply impossible !
DANIELLA
I woke up to the familiar loud ringing. It's time for our morning patrol .
I looked over to Magret's side and found her asleep.
"Seriously"! For someone who loves war she might just end up falling asleep during the war.
I walked over to her and shook her until she woke up. We quickly got dressed and and joined others outside for the patrol.

The morning patrol ended after two hours and now we are at the dining hall having our breakfast.
Can you two just stop staring at me. Maggie said in frustration. Cus Nickel and I have been staring at her since we came for breakfast.
Well you can't blame us how can you jog while carry that heavy military bag without even stopped for once what am I even saying you didn't even break a sweat. Nickel blurted out and I nodded in affirmation.
Well that's because my sweat is too precious and I enjoyed the exercise . She replied with a shrug......
Immediately we were done with our food we went to the field.
Jeez can't they give our food time to digest. Nickel complained.
They didn't force you to the training ground did they? You can relax and your food digest . Maggie said to him with an eye roll.
Seems like you are the devil sent by my aunt to lead me to punishment isn't it ? Nickel countered accusingly .
While you are complaining about your food not digesting there are some people who weren't given the time to finish their food . Maggie fired back .
Well it's not my fault that they choose to dilly dally instead of eating. Nickel said with an eye roll.
if I didn't know we'll, I would have thought that they were s couple.
Ok that's enough! stop bickering like kids if you want to continue then find some where to do so and stop disturbing me I said and they both kept quiet.
Okay soldiers this morning we will start with tying a rope . Sergeant Macaulay demonstrated it and after her we were asked to do same.
Magret did hers within few seconds and I stared at her with wide eye . She can never ceased to surprise me!
I tried mine and after 5 frustrating failure I got it I stared at Nickel who was still struggling.
We were asked to drag the rope in other to see how strong it was. Mine loosed without much trying.
"If you are to jump down a tree clif with the way you tied this rope you will be dead".
I turned my head to see who it was .
I am general Khalid he said and my eyes widened I immediately straightened my position and saluted him.
You don't need to look so shocked here let me teach you how to tie it properly. He said..
.....And that was how I got a saviour he was there to teach me how to hold a gun properly how to fix a bullet really he is God sent thank God he is not like that devilish General .
He even said to meet him anytime I have problem. Isn't he just the best?

I clenched my fist as I saw Khalid close to the girl who I recently found out her name is Daniella.
What is he trying to do touching her like that?
And how does that concern you ?my inner mind asked .
They just met and she is already throwing herself at him. That's not how a proper lady should act .
Damn why do I feel so angry ?.
Why are you acting like a jealous mate? My inner mind asked .
Shut the fxck up ! I sighed in frustration.Is she really the one ? But hows that possible I thought.. I thought.
Damn dude ! What's wrong with you . I heard and didn't bother to turn cus I already know who it is .
Now you're ignoring me ? James asked as I walked out. I need to see dad and clear this s**t out.
I drove my car at the military garage to my dad's company and parked at the underground parking lot.
I immediately entered the private elevator to my father's office...
