CHAPTER 2: Military Camp

It's been three days since the event that took place in the cafeteria. And since then I made sure to stay clear from the cafeteria I eat my lunch in the garden or at the old library behind the school building, during break so I don't have to be bothered about the mischievous of those rich heirs and heirness...
The bell rang and I walked out of the class immediately and headed for the orphanage I don't want to have any encounter with those students.
imagine being the object of people's stress release. Most times the come at me just to pour out the stress or hate. For example if someone they know they cannot defeat, make them angry or take something from them, they would look for me and pour their hatred on me.
crazy right?
I hate who ever gave birth to me so much for abandoning me in the orphanage. If they knew they didn't want me why didn't do an abortion.
When I become old enough and have made much money, one dude will then come knocking at my door and calling himself my father.
Hmmm... I don't even want to imagine my reaction. but one thing is for sure, it will be explosive.

I walked to the gate of the orphanage and saw a bus and people in our orphanage going in and also soldiers standing at the door of the bus.
" What's going on " ?
" Oh " Daniella you are here quickly go and get your things and don't just stand there .... you useless orphan! I heard our matron miss Mara say and I quickly walked into the orphanage to get my things.
I don't understand whats going on but the people I see going into the bus where some of the boys and girls in orphanage.
Where are they taking us to? I thought to myself as I zipped my bag and stepped out of the building.
Quick,, quick get in the bus matron Mara pushed me forward like she wanted me to disappear immediately.
I don't know why she is always bitter towards me well I'm not surprised after all her name is Mara "bitterness".
I walked into the bus and Nickel quickly dragged me to sit with him, well Nickel is the only guy in the orphanage who is kind to me and he is also my best friend more like a brother to me.
Do you know we're we are going to? I asked in a low tone as I looked around there were only 8 people that I knew including Nickel and I so we are 10 from our orphanage, the other face are not familiar seems like they are from other orphanages.
We are over 50 people in the bus if I didn't miscalculate.
I overheard the matron talking to one of the soldiers who seemed to be their leader and he said that they are taking us to the military camp to train to become skilled soldiers and help out in the coming war....gosh that creeps the s**t outta me. Nickel said and I stared at him in shock.
" What the fudge " !! I don't usually sware cus I find it dirty but now I don't care how dirty it is cus I don't want to join the military...
" Hush baby girl " ! Don't let the soldiers hear you talking like this. They may not find it pleasant and their leader is exceptionally cold. Trust me babe... you don't want to mess with him. Nickel said.
I gulped a large chunk of air as I processed what he said. I don't know if he is saying the truth or if he is trying to scare me, but one thing is for sure.... I'm damn scared right now.
I looking around.... " gosh " can my life get any worse? I mumbled to myself.
I looked outside the window God if there is anybody I have offended unknownly please forgive me I joined my hand a together and prayed a silent prayer.
GENERAL DONOVAN
I frowned as I started at the people in the bus, mostly the girls who were practically drooling over me, It's gonna be a hard time training with people like them.
I was planning on going easy on them after all it's not their fault that things turned out this way, but with these girls na! That would be a very bad idea , they might think I'm trying to flirt with them.
This is a serious mission and they gat to be fully prepared. I know I am handsome or probably beautiful as some may say but I hate it when girls try acting cheap and throwing themselves at me just because they think I'm too good to be true.
I turned my head to my right 10 seats away from where I stood and stared at a girl sitting beside a boy and heard her saying that she doesn't want to join the military.
She wasn't loud and I'm sure a human wouldn't be able to hear her clearly but then again I'm no ordinary.
I am a vampire prince so it was not difficult for me to hear her.
I stared at my sister again for a short time before looking away I wonder what that stupid girl thinks that she is doing.
I know the least thing in her mind is the up coming war. she is definitely here to hunt down handsome males.
" weird ". if not for our resemblance, I would have doubted her relationship with me.
I straightened my back as I saw the bus entering the camp.
The bus stopped and I stepped out of the bus while the soldiers in my Alpha team were saluting.
I gave one of the sergeant and instruction to assign the recruit to their dorms and later gather them at hall for announcement.
Then I walked to the Field Marshals office to give my report....
