"Poisonous Betrayal"

360 Words
As Mike had gone to get us both a drink I wanted to call Tara, but her number was busy so she must have been talking with one of the other girls. My time in the club was well spent. Suddenly I saw those red eyes flash before me then disappear, seconds later my ears were whispered into: "Don't drink the alcohol and stay away from him." As I whirled around to see the face of the mysterious whisperer, my eyes once more saw nothing out of the ordinary. As I replayed his words in my head I thought that maybe this was a silly prank or that someone's jealous of me and trying to steal the spot of Micheal Drew's date, hence I chose to ignore the warning. Moments later Mike returned with 2 glasses of wine. He offered e one of the glasses and I gladly took it. He held one of the glasses, a toast; he said: " A toast to having spent an amazing night with an amazing girl." I thanked him and told him that I enjoyed his company, very much. And then drank the wine despite the stranger's warning. The liquid was strangely fizzy and smelled peculiar but I gulped it down anyway. Mike offered me another glass and I couldn't resist. To my surprise, Mike didn't stop me as a good date would. Maybe he wanted me to get so drunk so that I couldn't walk eventually and he'd have to carry me home. After my 16th glass, my throat started to burn and a painful headache made my head spin. When Mike saw me he said: "We should head towards the restrooms you don't look so good." And he wordlessly led me to a dark alley. I wanted to question him where we were headed as this alley didn't look like it would lead to the restrooms. But before that, he disappeared and when I tried to find him, I felt a sudden jerk at my waist and felt a weird scented cloth was used to gag me. The last thing that I remembered was the intoxicating smell of the cloth. .........................................................................................
