Going downstairs, Judy could not help but stare at everything she came across

“more staring and your eyes will pop out” Jo laughed at her, feeling embarrassed Judy’s cheeks became red “so you all live here?” she asked instead.

“no, not everyone, only the Alpha, his family, those directly under the alpha and their family”

“what’s an Alpha?”

Instead of answering, Jo just stopped walking and looked at the girl with surprise written on her face. Then she thought “right, you’re a human so you can’t know”

“an Alpha is a wolf packs leader, he is the strongest in the whole pack and has a submission effect on other members weaker then him. Just him being an Alpha asks respect from everyone. You get it?” jo ended up explaining while turning to a room Judy thought to be the kitchen as there was a big table of at least 40 people forming a “U” shape on the side. But they left that room and went to a joint room with an open column in which there were many ovens, fridge, stove and drawers and many people who were cooking already. This was the kitchen!

“ yeah... I think, so... Is Calev an Alpha?”

They were walking towards a middle aged woman wearing a cook’s uniform with the hat barking orders.

“not yet, but he is next in line as his Clay disappeared!” Jo answered her quickly to talk to the lady in white.

“Maam I know it’s not time to eat yet but can you make our little guest here something to eat please” Jo begged the lady with puppy eyes. Glancing behind Jo the woman saw Judy gazing at everything around her as if lost in her own world.

“not from ‘round’ er she? Doesn’t smell rogue” the woman called Maam asked calling one of her assistants but jo stopped her saying “no, I want her to taste your divine cooking!”

“if that’s the case then you’ll have to wait a bit!” Maam said folding her sleeves and going straight to the stoves all the while barking orders.

Turning to Judy, Jo grabbed her hand and pulled her toward the dining room they past in earlier.

“sit, we’ll wait for the dishes to be ready!” Jo excitedly said clapping her hands.

Half an hour later the food was ready and served to Judy, time in which Jo and her got to know each other even better and got closer.

The steam of the dish making Judy salivate and Jo staring at her with amusement waiting for her reaction when she would actually taste the food.

“ha ha! You are so cute!” Judy giggled at her new friend’s behaviour.

“coming from you it’s an honour! But say that to Jordan!” she joked.

“who’s Jordan?” Judy asked taking a bite of lasagne and couldn’t help but moan at the end of her sentence. It was so tasty! Best dish she ever ate!

Putting a hand on her cheek and closing her eyes she was savouring the taste. “hhmmm it’s so good I feel like I am floating!” but her sweet moment was halted by the voice she heard

“you called?” Judy turned to see who it was. A young brunet man came through the door followed by a blondie then in came Calev looking dazed.

“nobody called you eavesdropper!” Jo impatiently said.

“you know I don’t need to be present to hear you right” Jordan replied with a smirk on. He went to sit next to Jo but she wouldn’t stop calling him names.

“I can see that just anyone can wear shorts, pretend to be a girl and they are cute” the girl who followed them sarcastically said going for a chair “Calev darling come sit next to me” she said with a voice that was clearly meant to be seductive. Jo knew Brianna was talking about her, that’s always what she did so she just ignored her. But getting no response from Calev and following his gaze that was on Judy Brianna ordered with a pissed tone “you! Get out of here!”. Unaware that it was addressed to her, Judy was just silently enjoying her food that was almost over and not minding her. Seeing that Judy was not moving, she coquettishly complained to Calev “babe she’s not doing what’s I asked are you just going to let her not respect me?” twirling her hair around her finger, she waited for Calev to do something. Jo, who had followed the entire scene explode out with laughter catching everyone’s attention in the room and glaring eyes from the girl.

“Brianna let the girl eat in peace! “ she couldn’t help but laugh.

It was now that Calev had regained his spirits walked up to Judy “do you plan on making me wait any longer and wasting time on something you could’ve finished in seconds if you were not too busy distracting others” he had said it in such an accusing way that it even shocked Jo and Jordan.

“you seem to have forgotten that it was because of someone’s misjudgement that I can’t even remember the last time I ate or drank something. And talk about yourself being the distracted one because I haven’t heard any complaints. You incapable nincompoop!” after her long monolog, the room was silent and nobody dared speak, not even Brianna and Calev himself was out of words, no one had ever spoken to him like that before. Done with her food, Judy got up to tidy up but someone immediately came to take it from her and disappeared with the plates.
