Judy stayed in the pack’s prison cells for 3 days, not that she knew, it felt like forever to the girl as she didn’t have any notion of time or light related.

Her food and water supply had been long gone and she slept most of the time to skip the pain, hunger and thirst. She knew Thomas also knew she had some food and water in her bag but he didn’t do anything to take it away from her, actually he even went as far as pretending to be asleep when she went for the bag to look for a biscuit or some bread, but it didn’t last long. At some point, she wanted to read her picture book to pass time but it was too darker to see anything.

They sometimes even chatted to kill time but it was just small conversations.

“so you come from a town called Owswell?” he had asked her on the second day.

“yeah... It’s a really nice place, it’s calm” Judy quietly answered.

“of course it is” he just replied.

At some point Judy even though he pitied her but he could not got against Calev. And she felt bad because it was because of her that he was stuck down here.

On the third day though, the door unexpectedly opened up. A middle aged man appeared at the door, followed by Calev. If it was not that they were tow different people, Judy could say they were the same person but at different time lines. The middle man had white long hair that he had tied to the back but he had the same piercing green eyes who lit in the dark place.

“Thomas light the place thank you” he softly ordered the guard who stood up on the spot and immediately went to reach the light switches.

“so there were lights” Judy thought, the place was illuminated right after “aahh” the girl screamed from the pain, covering her eyes and stepping away from the light.

“I apologize for my son’s behaviour, I hope you will find it in you to forgive him” the middle aged man humbly said while putting his right palm on his chest and bowing as sign of respect and regret.

Seeing this, Judy could not help but feel uncomfortable having such am old man bowing and apologising to her for something he was not even responsible for. She could not help but wonder who he was.

“Calev open the locks you have treated this young lady bad enough. Also, you should apologise as well”

“but dad!” Calev tried to protest but a look from his father and he had quieted down. After taking the keys from Thomas he unwillingly opened them and let Judy out. Scared of what he could do and recalling everything he tried to do to her, Judy hesitated for a moment. “it’s OK, you can come” the soothing voice of the middle aged man reassured her.

“come, let us go upstairs and could tell us all about Clay after you freshen up and have a decent meal” Judy could not help but smile brightly at him “yes!” she exclaimed.

“Thomas, find Jo and let her know to help our guest”

“of course Alpha Calian” Thomas then excused himself and disappeared right after.

Judy was so excited again and had hope that she could save Clay once again.

“we will be waiting for you in my office dear” he addressed Judy and added to his son “Calev, follow me, I have some things to discuss with you”

Standing in the middle of the corridors not knowing where to go, Judy looked like a lost cat. “there you are! Follow me, you’ll take a bath first! Cos man! You reek! Worse than a skunk! “

“Jo! Hey “ the girl beamed with joy when she saw the bartender from the village. “well I haven’t bathed for I don’t know how many days now so...” she defended herself.

“sorry ‘bout Calev, he’s stupid sometimes... I had no idea he was going to lock you up” the blondie said scratching the back of her head.

“it’s OK, don’t worry, I’ve seen worse” Judy just waved at her, dismissing the regretful look on her face and just following her. “this is my room, you can bath there” Jo pointed at the or at the other side of the room. “I suggest you change your clothes as well so I’ve left you some of mine on the bed”

“don’t worry, I brought some clothes” Judy just replied already putting down her bag and looking through it.

“where did you get this?” Jo pointed at the egg looking surprised.

“oh this! I found it in the desert. Some big birds were targeting it so I took it with me.” Judy was ashamed of saying she herself wanted it as breakfast in the first place. She thought of apologizing to it after it was born.

“I’ll bring you to the kitchen when you’re done” Jo ended up saying, lying on her bed resting.

After choosing the clothes she would wear, she went straight to the bathroom.
