I made my way to the clinic quickly, Mason right by my side. The nurse smiled when we walked in and led us to the room where the girl waited. She looked much better today. The bruising had completely faded, the cuts were all healed. Someone had bathed her and washed her hair as well. It was almost like a completely different person sat before me when I saw a small smile on her face.
“Alpha!” The doctor smiled at me strangely and glanced at the girl nervously. “I was just going to link you with an update if you want to step outside with me?” I glanced back over to the girl in the bed. She looked scared. I was too busy seeing the improvements that I didn’t see the fear in her eyes.
