Leah’s P.O.V

Today has been a long day, First, Lucious has been on edge. Four days ago when Graice left school in a hurry, it worried everyone, especially the alpha family. When she didn’t show up for school the next day the alpha had put Lucious into the dungeons because his wolf Moloch was trying to make an appearance to find Graice. I don’t think anyone has ever seen Lucious so on edge before, nor has anyone seen Moloch trying to break free and force a shift. Moloch has always been calm and collected so it put the entire pack on edge. That evening the alpha and Luna called for a mandatory pack meeting. When they told us that Lucious, the future alpha of the pack had found his mate and our future Luna everyone was ecstatic. Their was however a few of us that were confused. It is known that a wolf can not find his mate until both mating pairs were 18 years of age. When we found out that none other than Graice was his mate many people questioned it because she isn’t suppose to turn 18 for at least another week or so. After the meeting the alpha had called one of the pack members that work for the human police department and asked for him to check on Graice because she hadn’t showed up for school and it was obvious that she was being abused by her family. Unfortunately the officer wasn’t able to search the premises because they didn’t have probably cause and that only made the alphas more anxious. When we all were leaving school, Lucious doubled over in pain just as he did the day before. Out of nowhere moloch took control and before we knew it we were all at Graice’s home throwing open the door. As soon as we entered the house the smell of Graice’s blood hit our nostrils like a ton of bricks falling from the skyscraper onto a moving cars window. At that point there was no stopping moloch and Lucious from finding Graice. We heard sounds coming from the basement and immediately went to open the door, when we finally got down there the sight we saw was absolutely amazing. Graice’s wolf had taken control and mind linked Lucious, then she turned and saw all of us in the room with her and the look of relief on her face was evident. Graice had severe wounds that even being a werewolf with our accelerated healing would have been fatal. How she is still alive we have no idea but we are incredibly thankful. Her so called family were cowering in the corner of the basement with fear written all over their faces. But out of nowhere they disappeared, vanished without a trace. My wolf Vera said she smelt magic and with her being a special wolf could see the physical traces of magic. Now all we can do is sit and wait for Graice to wake up, hopefully it’s soon. Her father was in the office earlier harassing the principle and receptionist to hand Graice over but they wouldn’t budge. Eventually Sarah and the other woman we saw in the basement came to the office. “The nuts must have her, let’s go.” She stated. They all looked furious. About 30 minutes into class the pack received a mind link from Lucious saying that Graice was awake. I wonder how she’s doing. My brother had told me that he headed home because he was cornered by Sarah and her mother and there was no point in staying for the 30 minutes. It’s odd though, they left right before the bell, so how could they have been cornering him as well? I’ll have to ask him about it later. When the final bell finally rang I met up with Jess and Daniel and we started heading to the doors to head home and hopefully meet out Luna. ‘Wait, do you smell that?’ Vera asked cautiously stopping me in my tracks. I took a whiff and found what she meant. ‘That smell.. it smells familiar but slightly different.’ Vera stated. Jess and Daniel were now sniffing the air as well trying to find out why I was on alert. “You guys, there was a witch vampire hybrid here!” I told them. What would a witch vamp be doing here? And why are they on our territory?

Graice’s P.O.V

I’ve been up for about 10 minutes and honestly I feel very rested. When In my space after I had calmed down, Moloch and Raya touched me with their snouts and it was like reliving what had happened a few days ago. I watched how she took control over me when I almost fainted, and then how I woke up and ran home. I can’t believe Markus would be waiting by the door just to knock me unconscious. When I was dragged into the basement they were beating me relentlessly, until raya had regained consciousness and made herself known. Markus, Sarah and Taylor had cowered back in fear and the next thing I remember is hearing a faint sound. Raya had mindlinked Lucious and his family stating that she needed help and to come to the house. After she sent the mindlink she heard a faint gasp and turned to see a fuming Lucious and worried and angered faces staring at Sarah and her parents with so much hate and anger. As Graice released control I looked at Sarah and the people I thought were my parents and they vanished without a trace. As if they were never there to begin with. After that I remember waking up for a very brief moment while Lucious was sitting in the hospital chair beside the bed and Raya throwing us into his arms. He explained what had happened and then we got comfortable on the bed and cuddled until I had passed out. I’m assuming he followed shortly after. As I was thinking about all of the events the last few days had thrown at me I hadn’t even realized there were a few people in the room. “Hello Graice. My name is Caitlynn, I’m Lucious and Jess’s mother, this is their father Lucien. We are what’s called and alpha and Luna. So the leaders of this pack. That is until you and Lucious take over.” She greeting and introduced kindly. “Uhmm, hi, it’s nice to meet you.” I stuttered out. Looking at Lucious’s mom I remember seeing her right before I ran out of the nurses office. She was really sweet and kind. Wait! When me and Lucious take over?! “Ahhh I see you caught onto what my lovely mate just said!” Chuckled out the very large dude also known as lucious’s father. My face at this point was extremely red I must look like a tomato. “Don’t worry love we won’t take over for at least another year or so” Lucious told me reassuringly. “But I know nothing of leading, I mean I don’t even know about our kind accept for what raya and moloch has told me!” I deadpanned. “What do you mean what moloch has told you?” Lucien asked. “ when I woke up raya pulled me and moloch into our space so I could remember what had happened. Why is that not normal?” I asked. “No it is not, that’s never been done before. At least not with regular wolves!” He explained. Great! Now I’m a special case. What’s happening to me?! What’s going to happen to me?! ‘Calm down Graice, everything is fine, you have tons of support and you have me’ raya stated soothingly. She’s right. Even though I don’t know much about this world I can always ask her, or I guess Lucious and them as well. This is so nerve racking ugh! Soon the door opens and several others walk in. I recognize them from the day I fainted. Why is everyone so tall? I feel so short. ‘That’s cause you are short’ raya retorted with a chuckle. At least she’s finding all this amusing. “Hello Luna, my name is Hayden, I am the future Gamma of this pack.” The first guy stated whilst kneeling before me. ‘That’s weird’ I told raya. ‘Its a form of respect, loyalty and formality.’ She explained. Soon another gentleman came up and did the same thing. “Hello Luna, my name is Daniel, I am the future beta of this pack and right hand to alpha Lucious!” He spoke with authority. Then a tall girl kneeled before me but instead of just kneeling and bowing her head her eyes started to glow. ‘Her wolf is making herself known, she wants to pledge her life to yours, will you allow me to take control?’ Raya asks. ‘Yea please I have no idea what to do’ I tell her. Next thing I know it’s like I’m in the passenger seat and watching things from an entirely different view. ‘What is your name’ raya asks with so much authority. “My name is Vera, my humans name is Leah. The goddess had blessed our decision to change genders in return we were to train and become the next Luna guard. I Vera and my human Leah of the royal Dragon claw pack pledge my loyalty and my life to you Luna Graice and her wolf Raya till my last breath” she states with confidence. Everyone in the room is frozen and confused as to what is happening. “ I accept your pledge and your loyalty Leah and Vera of the royal dragon claw pack” she answers. Then Vera offers her hand to which Raya accepts and and claw replaces my fingernail, then she cuts out hand and then Leah’s and clasps our hands together. “This bond shall hold until the end of time and be unbreakable. You have pledged yourself to me and so I shall enhance your powers and abilities so that you may become faster, stronger and more resilient.” Raya booms. Then our hands began to glow and I felt a snap. Like a bond or puzzle piece snapping into place. When we finally let go our cuts were healed and there was a small tattoo on my wrist. ‘This tattoo is the symbol of the bond. It can’t be removed no matter what kind of magic is involved’ raya explains to me.

Lucious’s P.O.V

When everyone started kneeling in front of Graice I got a little worried. What if she didn’t accept me or our bond or the pack?! What if she rejected all of us and left? It would destroy me and moloch too. When Leah knelt before Graice I though it was going to be the same pledge. The pledge all pack members make to their Luna at some point. However, before she stated anything her wolf made an appearance. The pledge she had made was a blood pledge which means it would be stronger than anything. The current Luna guard didn’t have to make such a pledge. Everyone was in awe of Graice’s wolf. We all felt the power rolling off of her. ‘Is this what you felt when she appeared a few days ago?’ My father had asked with wonder filled eyes. ‘Yes but this is much calmer, when she did it then it was like I had crossed the line and in that moment I wasn’t her mate I was just someone under her and far below her power.’ I explained to him. When they sealed the bond in blood I felt it. It was like a crackling and final pop sound. The sound of a bond being snapped into place. Some say it’s the same when you mark your mate. ‘What was that feeling?’ Several pack members asked through the pack link. So I wasn’t the only one that felt it? “A pack meeting will have to take place this evening to explain the events that have just taken place.” My father stated to everyone in the room. Once everyone pledged their loyalty to Graice and her wolf we all left the hospital and headed to the pack house. We were gonna eat some dinner and then hold the pack meeting and explain what happened. Elder John was already waiting for us when we arrived. He was studying Graice and wouldn’t take her eyes off of her and I didn’t like it. When he stepped closer to her moloch and I let out a warning growl and he got the message. “I’m sorry I shall keep my distance.” He stated calmly. I hated how he was looking at her. Only I can look at her for that long! After we ate pack members started to gather around. They were speaking amongst themselves and wouldn’t quiet down for my father. I could see the frustration on his face and could tell his patience was running thin. “ENOUGH!” Boomed a voice. I looked over only to see my beautiful mate glowing and levitating off the ground. You could feel her power and aura wash over everything. She was completely magnificent.

Unknown P.O.V

That sudden burst of power. I felt one just like it almost a couple hours ago. And then a few days ago, the command and power that washed over me, that woke me. The child! It has to be her! The power that I felt it was more powerful than the moon goddess herself, I know it! I’ve been asleep for so long, the whole kingdom has. I’m not entirely sure how long it has been since our child was taken.

*Unknown amount of years ago*

“Your majesties! The princess she’s been take!” Screamed one of our guards. The goddess had said this day would come. But why! Why must they take my daughter! “Noooooooooo!” I screamed allowing my power to come out. The power I hold is one that controls the weather, just like my grandmother. Why must they take her she’s my daughter the heir to the throne! She’s a baby! The kingdom was in a battle, we were fighting with everything we had against them! “Shhh, calm down darling everything will be alright.” Said the same voice I remember from several years ago whilst I was pregnant. Her voice sounded like a sea of bells. It was soothing. “Why? Why did they have to take her?” I questioned with tears in my eyes. “They want to take her power, unfortunately that is impossible for your child is far more powerful than any being that has ever been in existence. She will come back to you of that I’m certain.” She says kindly and calmly. How can she be so calm? I feel like my soul is being ripped apart. And I’m carrying another child but how could I give this child life when my first is being taken away from me?! “I must hide the kingdom. When they discover that they cannot take her power they will discover the other child in your womb. They will come after you. Hiding the kingdom until your daughter is of age will keep you all safe. And her as well.” She told me. By this time my mate and king was already kneeling beside me. Only his touch was comforting me, even if just a little. “Do what you must but please make sure those in the kingdom are alright and aware of what is happening.” He agreed. “Very well, I shall stop the battle and heal the wounded but be aware, in doing so you may awaken before your eldest child turns 18, with that being said the kingdom will be uncloaked. However I will tell you where your daughter is.” She counters. As she starts to levitate her aura rolls off of her body in waves. In mer seconds the fighting has ceased and on their knees. “Enough. There will be no more fighting. Those who are enemies of the kingdom are traitors to me!” She boomed. She was magnificent, the power she holds is unlike any I’ve ever seen. “Citizens, I ask you to return home, return to your families for the kingdom shall be put to sleep. And those who are enemies make your peace for you will suffer the death you rightfully deserve.”she booms. As she starts to leave she looks at us with a small smile. “You will find your daughter at the royal dragon claw pack. She will be with her mate and learning of her identity.” She tells us. “You have 24 hours to tell your kingdom what is happening. Prepare yourselves and get comfortable for it will be years before you awaken.” She consoles us. “Thank you my goddess we are forever grateful” my mate thanks her. As everything was cleaned up we called a mandatory pack meeting so we could tell everyone what is to come. I hope they all accept this if not for us then for their families and their future queen. “Thank you all for coming here today!” Boomed the king. “We are eternally grateful to you all, you have showed us kindness and gratitude.” I added. “Many of you may be confused as to what our goddess said. Our daughter! Your princess and future queen has been taken by the enemies! The goddess has agreed to keep us safe by hiding the kingdom until she is of age! We have a few hours so please go home! Gather your families and make yourselves comfortable! It may be years before we wake again!” My mate boomed. In an instant everyone kneeled before us. It made my heart sore! “Long live the princess” rang out a chorus of words. Soon the crowd dispersed to be with their loved ones and prepare themselves. Now we sleep and wait for our daughter to come of age. I wonder how she’s grown and what she looks like. Has she taken after me? Has she taken after her father? Is she safe? Soon an uncontrollable darkness swept over the kingdom and we all fell into a deep slumber not to awaken until my daughter is close to her 18th birthday.

I can’t wait to see my baby! I’m coming for you. I will be with you once again my darling Freya, Princess of the kingdom sparks and supreme goddess over all domains.
