What happened?

Graice’s P.O.V

It’s so comfortable here. I don’t wanna get up. Hold on a second, did my pillow just move? That’s weird pillows aren’t suppose to move. There it goes again. I decided I’m going to open my eyes and when I do I’m face to face with a handsome hunk of a man. ‘He smells sooooo good’ raya says almost startling me. ‘I forgot about that’ I think sighing. ‘Hey raya, why are we sleeping in a hospital? On top of this although hot but strange man?’ I decided to ask her. ‘You don’t remember anything from yesterday do you?’ She asks with a sad expression. ‘ no I don’t. All I do remember is being in my happy place and meeting you there. Other than that I only remember heading to school.’ I explain. ‘ I’m going to pull you into our space with moloch is that okay?’ She asks. ‘ yeah that’s fine’ I tell her. who’s this Moloch? I go to ask but before I can I’m immediately pulled into my happy place. The only place I can go to find quietness and peace. I start nearing the willow tree and as I do I spot raya laying on a big black wolf with rainbow highlights and eyes that look like mine. As I slowly approach them he stands and turns to me. I have no idea who he is or what to do so I freeze and squeeze my eyes closed. I can feel my heart thumping in my chest threatening to come out. ‘It’s alright mate.’ Says this wolf. He has a growling rumble when he speaks and for some reason it makes me calm. ‘I’m moloch, we are mates. I will not hurt you, not now nor ever’ he states with that rumbly voice. Upon hearing his words I slowly open my eyes to look at him. He’s taller than me but still shorter than raya which is kind of funny when you think about it. ‘How are you here?’ I ask skeptically. It’s strange, for as long as I can remember I’ve been the only one here, well except for the animals that is. Although I suppose there was also that lady that looked like a goddess, but I think that was just a dream or another figment of my imagination. This is all so new to me, I mean days ago I just thought I was a normal girl that had weird eyes and an abusive family and just hoped my birthday could come fast so that I could leave this place for good. Now, now I find out that I’m adopted and werewolves exist? What’s going on? This doesn’t make any sense! ‘Calm down Graice, we’ll explain everything but we can’t do that with you freaking out!’ Raya grumbles at me. ‘Calm down? Calm down! How do you expect me to calm down?! I’m talking to a 6 foot wolf who talks back to me! Moments ago I was in a hospital bed with a stranger and then magically transported into my head! How can you possibly tell me to calm down?! I’m freaking out here!’ I scream frustrated. I started to breathe heavily and fell to my knees, I feel like I’m falling apart. I have no idea what to think and especially no idea what to do! All of this is crazy! I’m going crazy! ‘ it’s a lot to take in I know. But you’re not crazy, you were just raised as a human.’ Commented a voice I didn’t recognize. ‘ who said that?’ I said shakily. ‘ My name is Daphne, I am one of the many Nymphs that inhabit the koi pond here in your mind. You created it for us when you were little. Do you remember?’ Explained and asked the voice I now know as Daphne. Soon a memory comes to mind.

*FLASHBACK*

I was possibly 5 years old. We were living in Boise Idaho at the time. I remember going into the kitchen and seeing a strange lady with long grey hair and red eyes speaking to my parents. She looked a little scary and she was very pale. It looked as if she hated me. Markus had found out I was in there with them and got upset when he saw me. That was the first day he ever hit me. That was also the day I created my ‘space’. I was in my room later that night, I was scared and scarred at what happened early. I was so confused as to why Markus would hit me, what did I do so wrong for him to do that? Then he burst into my room and started screaming at me of how pathetic I am and how I ruin everything for him. He hurt me really bad that night and had knocked me unconscious. When I woke up I was in my space. It was a little dark and empty. I had walked to this big tree that looked almost dead and sat next to it when I started hearing someone or something cry. It broke my heart. When I walked around the tree i couldn’t find anything until I had this urge to look above me. There I spotted a creature. ‘What’s wrong? What are you and Why are you crying?’ I had asked. ‘My home, it’s been destroyed, everything is gone and my sister and I have nowhere to go. We are Nymphs we are able to enter into anyones space, that’s why we are here.’ She had explained. I felt bad for this creature, it pained me to see anyone else crying. In that moment an idea struck me! I would create a better place here and allow them to stay! It was perfect! Soon it was like my body had a mind of its own. I remember feeling powerful and I was levitating at least 6 feet off the ground. I had decided to create a pond, that’s where they could stay, after I created the pond I made the tall tree next to me look beautiful and healthy, next, I created grass and flowers of all shapes and sizes. By the time I was done everything looked beautiful! ‘You can stay here if you’d like. Then you won’t be sad anymore!’ I had offered. ‘Really? Thank you so much! You’re so kind!’ She exclaimed. When the nymph and her sister dove into the pond everything else seemed to brighten, like their happiness made everything warmer. I was in awe. After that it became a normal thing. I would get hurt or feel unsafe so I would come to my space and talk with the nymphs while they told me of their home and species.

*End Flashback*

“I remember.” I stated. I felt bad because I didn’t remember, not until she had asked. I was still a little panicked but then she started to glow. “Im going to ease your emotions, we nymphs are able to calm others down with our healing abilities, I guess that’s why we are also so calm when you think about it.” She remarked. After a few seconds it was as if all my fear and anxiety was eliminated. I knew it was still there but it felt as if it wasn’t blinding me. “I feel better!” I exclaimed. ‘Im glad mate. Would you allow us to explain what has happened these last few days?” Moloch asked. I nodded my head. “Since you remember being in the space last time then you remember that you have been unconscious for 3 days right?” Asked raya. I just nodded. “Okay, after we started walking to school Jess, her brother and their friends had started walking behind you. You had turned around and were panicking because I was trying to tell you that you were not human. Then when I noticed lucious and moloch behind us we both started to panic a little.”she explained. I just kept nodding. “Before you fainted I took over complete control so that I could explain to them what was happening, unfortunately, moloch and Lucious had smelt our blood and started to loose control, they wouldn’t listen when I told them not to intervene so I commanded them not to” she explained more. At this point I felt like a bobble head. But then I had a question. “What do you mean you commanded them?” I asked. I remember she had stated that wolfs with higher ranks could command someone. Does that mean she is a higher rank? “As I stated before, wolf’s with higher ranks are able to command others, that’s all I’m allowed to tell you on the matter currently.” She said pointedly. As if asking me not to ask more questions about that particular subject right now. Moloch however was looking at raya as if she were the most beautiful wolf in the universe, then he would sneak a peak at me and do these little happy tap’s and honestly, it is completely adorable.

Hayden’s P.O.V

I swear the last few days have been hectic! Truthfully I’m really excited that Lucious found his mate and our future Luna, but it makes me a little sad. No one knows but I’m bisexual, I feel like the moon goddess won’t give me a mate because of that. I’ve always had a crush on Daniel and Jess. I mean who wouldn’t?! At some point I also had a crush on Lucious but he’s the future alpha so I squashed those feeling pretty fast. Seeing the scars on our future Luna made me angry, I had to run out of the room. My wolf verse was growling. He was furious that someone would ever harm our Luna! I’m sure if Sarah or her parents were here he would have shifted and tore them apart! I still can’t get over how powerful she is! She had asked Lucious and Moloch to not fight and allow Graice to fight back first but when they got upset and said no she commanded them and the entire pack to stand down. In all of our kinds history there has never been a time where anyone except the alpha or luna was able to speak to the entire pack. As far as anyone knows only the alpha, luna and royal family was able to do that, but here’s Graice and her wolf Raya doing it with no effort on top of not having a pack. *Dinng* finally, I can go to my last class of the day. As I walked out of the hall I started to think about what will happen now that Graice is at the pack. She’s not 18 yet so she could get into trouble not going home. I couldn’t care less about the law because she will never return to those people! I will give my life for our luna no matter what! She will stay safe! ‘Hey Hayden, Graice’s father is here. He’s demanding that someone tells him where she is! What do I do?!’ I hear Leah ask through the mindlink. ‘Stay there I’m on my way! I’d be damned if they take our Luna anywhere!’ I tell her. As I make my way to the office I get this strange feeling, my wolf is able to pick up peoples intentions. As soon as I discover what the intention is and where it is coming from and am shoved against a locker by Sarah and her horrible mother Taylor. “ you where hanging out with that pathetic girl yesterday and were seen taking her to the nurses office too! Where is she!” Screamed Taylor. “I don’t have to tell you anything! Now get your hands off of me!” I yell back. They have some nerve putting their hands on me! ‘Let me tare them to pieces!’ Growls verse. I have to hold him back so he doesn’t do just that. ‘ alpha! I’m cornered by Taylor and Sarah and they’re demanding I tell them where Graice is. What do I do?’ I ask through the mind link. ‘Tell them nothing. Protect your future Luna at all costs. Get away from them and proceed to your classes.’ He tells me. I wish I could just s***h their throats and be done with it. Finally seeing that I won’t say anything Taylor and Sarah leave me alone. I start making my way back to the office so I can meet up with my sister when I realize it’s already 30 minutes since class has started. Damn! I decide since I’ve missed this much time I’ll just head home. Maybe our future Luna will wake up soon and I can meet her! Just as I was thinking that I get a mind link from none other than Lucious our future alpha! ‘She’s awake! Graice is awake!’ He yells. I don’t think I’ve ever heard him this excited before.

Lucious’s P.O.V

I feel warm, and comfortable. Is there something on top of me? As I open my eyes I look at my chest and see the cause of this feeling. My mate. She looks so beautiful. Her long hair and tiny frame. She’s perfect! ‘Indeed she is’ moloch agrees. As I was admiring the figure laying calmly on my chest I received a mindlink from my father. ‘Son, Graice’s parents where just seen at the school, her mother and sister confronted Hayden and her father was harassing the principle and school nurse.he wants her back.’ He explains. ‘ NO! She will not go back to them. I won’t allow it!’ I yell at him. After I calm myself down for a bit I try coming up with a plan but I find nothing. ‘Dad, what do I do? I can’t risk sending her back! She’s the future Luna and I won’t put her life at risk!’ I ask weakly. I just found my Luna and I will not lose her, not now not ever! ‘I agree it is far to risky to send her back to her parents. The principle is on our side after seeing the scars on her body. He suggests keeping Graice hidden on pack lands until after her birthday. That means she won’t be going to school. In the meantime she can learn more about our kind. The elders also have questions for her.’ He replies. I’m glad he’s on my side. I can’t lose this girl. I know I just met her but she has already stolen my heart. ‘Yeah that sounds like a plan. I can teach her some of our history and help her adjust to our world a little!’ I respond happily. Maybe I can even get out of school until her birthday! I’d get to spend all of my time with her! Before I could even think anymore on that topic mom comes in with a change of clothes for Graice. Our pack doctors Leslie and tony follow in as well. They start checking Graice’s wounds. Leslie and Tony are amazing healers, I wonder if it’s because they are part witch, they’re the only hybrids in the pack that I know of and they are also mates! Hybrids use to be hunted and killed because our ancestors thought they were abominations. Before the king and queen died they made it to where hybrids of any kind were free and allowed to live as such. Some people believe that when the king and queen made that decision they upset the moon goddess and she was behind the downfall of the kingdom. However, some believe they either vanished with the kingdom for safety or they were killed by an ambush and the moon goddess hid the kingdom so that the powerful objects couldn’t be stolen. I’m not sure what to believe honestly. “Well, she looks like she’s healed all of her wounds for the most part. Even some of her older wounds are vanishing which is remarkable! I think once she wakes up I’ll have another look at her and then she can be discharged.” Leslie states. “However I would like her to remain in someone’s care until she is fully healed. I’d like to have her come back in a week or so for another checkup and proceed from there.” Tony adds. It’s amazing how they work together, I hope Graice and I work just as well if not better together! “Perfect! I’ll sign her discharge papers since she’s not an adult yet and since she is going to be staying in the pack house. Hopefully she likes it there!” My mom starts to ramble. She’s always been like that, she gets worried about whether or not someone will like our pack or like staying in our home. But she means well and that doesn’t mean by any means that she is only ever nice! My mother can do some damage if it means protecting her pack and her family! Once everyone agrees how to proceed everyone but Graice and I leave the room. I lay there watching her for a while as she sleeps. I love this feeling! Having her sleep on my chest. I can’t get enough of it. Feeling the sparks when our skin touches in the slightest way! It feels amazing! Soon she starts to wiggle and I watch as she slowly looks into my eyes. ‘She’s awake! Graice is awake!’ I yell through the mindlink! I’m so excited, I can finally get to know her! She’s so beautiful and I can’t wait to learn more about her! “Hello my mate” I tell her in a husky but obviously very excited voice. All I can do is watch as she studies me and then she does the most unexpected thing. She kisses my cheek! Then in the most adorable sleepy voice says, “Hello.”
