Twenty-four hours later, the men knew where they were going and who they were after, or hoped they did. Everything pointed to one place, one group, and two men in particular. With no proof, just intuition built up from years of doing what they did so well, they were ninety percent certain they were on the right track.
Then they began planning. As they did, Rico wanted to know why they weren’t going to use the members of Vance’s team.
“We aren’t for one simple reason, they knew Ginna, and loved her. They’d want to exact their revenge on her killers, too, and—” Vance’s voice was full of anger, bordering on rage “—that is my job, and mine alone.”
Roger looked at Rico, a deep frown on his face, but said nothing when Rico gave a minute shake of his head.
