It would be wrong to compare this kiss that Ivy gave me after I’d started Mira right on down the path to death, as almost as blistering as Mira currently was. Wrong entirely, but my brain was happy to chip that little comparison in anyway. There was no hint of reaction appropriate for what I’d just done, it was like… a concert. The energy and excitement, and the way people were watching as if this was something awesome. Interesting. Amazing, and that wasn’t to say that I wasn’t already feeling that but something about all those people, all feeling the same thing kicked it up a notch. Until I felt invincible, and exuberant. We pulled away and watched the fire climb, enveloping the whole thing. A pillar of pure light. Actually the only thing that seemed to be ruining it was the smell of burn
