There was a line. There had to be a line. Ivy had known me for less than a day by this point, so that there was no way that she could be emotionally ready for the full sha-bang right now. Right? I was fairly sure that was the case, and in any case she was too special to screw this up. On the other hand, I couldn’t really tell her that she wasn’t capable of knowing what she wanted, right? We’d ended up curled together on the bed, our legs a tangled mess and kissing. I pulled back the tiniest of bits. “What are you doing?” she murmured in complaint, I said with a groan. This was not a conversation that I wanted to have, but there was no way I was going to go around assuming things. In the grand scheme of things, it would have been stupider to assume than it’ll be to have this conversation.
