Aria's POV We walked back into the gravel parking lot, but neither Jane nor I climbed into the car. I stood frozen, my eyes locking onto a sleek vehicle parked in a private corner slot. "Wait, isn't that Philip's car?" I asked, completely taken aback as I pointed toward the car. "I've definitely seen him drive that exact model before. The receptionist just said he caught an early flight out of town, so why on earth is his car still sitting right here?" Jane followed my gaze, her jaw tightening as she took in the sight. She let out a long, hollow laugh. "Well, looks like our eccentric investor is actually in the building," Jane said, her shoulders slumping. "He's just refusing to see us.
