As Alexander’s hand rested firmly on my lower back, guiding me into the grand hall, the shift in the atmosphere was immediate.
The hum of conversation faltered. The clinking of glasses, the soft murmur of mingling wolves, all diminished into a hush. One by one, heads lowered. Some subtly, others in a more obvious display, their gazes dropping to the polished floor.
Every wolf in attendance, including seasoned pack leaders known for their pride, instinctively bowed in submission. They didn’t need to be prompted. It was undeniable—this reaction wasn’t just out of respect. It was out of primal instinct. Whatever power radiated from Alexander demanded it.
