Mia leaned forward, her eyes sparkling with mischief. She had been relentless since I reacted to Alexander’s mindlink, and now, it seemed, she had no intention of stopping.
“You know, I’ve seen you blush, but that? That was a whole new level. You looked like someone poured red paint all over your face!”
I sighed, resisting the urge to bury my head in my hands. “Mia, can we not?”
“No, we can’t not,” she said, grinning mischievously. “I don’t think I’ve seen anything that amusing in a while. You’re practically glowing just because of one little mindlink. Admit it. You’ve got it bad for your Alpha King.”
I shook my head quickly, hoping to steer this away before she pressed further. “I was just caught off guard, that’s all.
