Kira looked thoughtful for a moment before she said, “This is not good, If she’s truly working for Orion, she’ll probably tell him something, maybe not directly, but just enough to hint that you’re not Ravenna.”
I frowned. “You think so?”
She nodded. “Witches are very cunny, Ravenna. They don’t always tell the truth, but they don’t lie either. They play in between. They keep things to themselves until it matters, and when the stakes are high, they speak up, just enough to use the truth to their advantage.”
I slowly nodded, trying to take that in. “I’m not sure if what you just said is supposed to comfort me or make me panic more.”
Kira let out a soft laugh but it didn’t reach her eyes. “All we can hope for now is that she doesn’t show up again.”
