"I never had s*x with Keto," I said as I put up a defense mechanism, "We were about to, but we stopped."
I wasn't lying, I never had s*x with Keto, but I might have done that if the camera wasn't there.
Kate tilted her head, unimpressed by my defense, "It's still the same thing, Ravenna. You would have done it if you guys didn’t see the camera recording the whole thing."
I frowned and folded my hands.
Her words stung me like a scorpion, and it wasn't because they were entirely wrong, but because they exposed a truth I hadn’t come to terms with myself.
"And what about Orion?" she asked, her tone suspicious, as though she wanted to catch me in a lie, "Will you call that 'almost had s*x' too?"
