THE GREATEST MIND

John watched the open passage with a hint of curiosity and uncertainty,not sure whether to proceed or remain in the familiar setting.After thinking for a bit,his curiosity got the better of him and he stepped out.The white colour gave way to a plethora of colors,from the dark grey of a floating comfy looking sofa overlooking a hologram screen portraying the happenings of the room from which he had exited to a floor which kept turning all shades of colours in a pattern that could mesmerize anyone who gazed at it.The walls were a mild blue color and a few strange devices could be observed scattered within the room.

John took all the new sights in and approached the screen placed at the wall on the left side of the entrance he had just walked through.A motion sensor picked up on the movement and a message began to play automatically,"My name is George," a deep sounding voice was heard,"I am the brain behind the Alcorp Conglomerate and by the time you find this message I will be long gone.You,John,are my greatest work,the crystallization of many decades of research in creation of machines that not only can think independently but ones that any regular human can relate to,new intelligent life forms that can mingle closely with humanity and even give rise to an entire new race with the potential to achieve immortality."Here he coughed lightly and continued,"However with such a revolutionary technology comes risk and dangers that can potentially cause the opposite effect,that of annihilation of an entire species.Many would want to claim the technology for themselves to achieve their own agendas but you as my legacy are to step in and stand above them all.I stand on the side of justice and righteousness but there are regrettable things I have done in the past that still haunt my dreams to this very day.I now pass this great burden to you regrettably.I know that in a sense I am running away from my problems but I hope to give you a proper explanation should we ever meet.You have a lot to learn buy I believe that you are up to the task of leading humanity to new era of prosperity.And remember the greatest mind is not one that can merely come up with solutions to problems,it is one that knows when to do so and when to stop.Humanity has to be allowed for a chance to grow on its own,like an embryo growing in its mother's womb.You have a lot to learn also about yourself and the world and its ways but I believe you are up to the task.Farewell."The recording stopped and immediately the tablet-like device self-destructed.
