Dr Lupin's POV I wipe my hands on a clean cloth and glance at the clock again. The morning light already feels too bright for how little sleep I have managed. Another stack of blood samples sit on my exam table, waiting to be processed. “Next patient,” I call out, trying to sound steady while I feel anything but. “Doctor Lupin, Brie’s here! I tell her you’d make it quick, she’s still nervous, though.” I give Mabel a small nod. “Thank you. Wait outside, please. It is a standard check for new shifters, nothing to be nervous about.” Mabel sighs but steps out and the door clicks shut behind her. I turn to Brie. “Sit down.
