Alaina I left Jordan’s office feeling light as air. Nick was gleefully bringing all the files to Tasha’s desk. Tasha looked p*ssed. When she caught my eyes, I want to say she attempted to control her hatred of me, but I saw through it. I don’t have too much to pack. Nick handed me a box. “I’ll miss sitting next to you everyday.” “Me too.” I replied. “So, you and Mr. Green. He’s the childhood love?” “He is. I knew him before he made something of himself. I always knew he would even then. He was a scrawny, lanky nerd without glasses, and I was just his fat best friend since fourth grade that fell in love with him.” Nick looked at me up and down and had an expression of anger when I called myself fat. “I don’t know if I should be glad, he saw your true beauty or if I am jealous, he saw it.
