My mom wasn’t happy that Alaina and I couldn’t take time off work to spend with them. Jeremy has left work as much as he can to spend time with them. My dad keeps scolding mom that she shouldn’t have wanted to surprise us as she didn’t know our schedules and the fact that we are running a business. She thought we could just tell our workers to do the work and we could take the time off.
That might work for other businesses, but we’re still fairly new and Jeremy and I decided we’d be hands on bosses and owners. I could have bought some tropical island and had endless parties, but I like working. Even though Jeremy can party probably harder than me he enjoys working. Our mom just doesn’t understand the product of raising two sons with a good work ethic is we work all the time.
