Zebulon walked up slowly and locked eyes with Felix. "Let her go. Come after me if you've got a problem." Felix burst into hysterical laughter. He pulled out a dagger and pressed it sharply against my neck. He said, "Wow, Zebulon. You really care about this woman that much? Here's the deal—cut off one of your own hands, and I'll let her walk free." Felix pulled out a second dagger and tossed it on the ground. Zebulon stared at me with deep, heavy eyes, then bent down to pick up the blade. Felix kicked him hard before he could grab it. "Zebulon!" I cried out, my voice breaking. "Don't do this." Zebulon smiled faintly, picked up the dagger, and faced Felix again. "Keep your word. If you hurt her, I'll make sure you burn in hell." A sharp sound cut through the air. Veins bulged on Zeb
