Alara I arrived at the restaurant, my heart beating faster than it should have been. I hated this feeling of losing control, of being forced to confront a woman who had no business being in my life, in our lives, anymore. Kaida. Her name alone was enough to send a ripple of irritation through me. I walked in, the soft clinking of glasses and hushed conversation filling the air, but none of it mattered.
