At Veer's house~

"Maa....Maa main ghar aagya (Mom I am home)" Veer said entering in the house and sat on the sofa in the living room.

He sighed when he realized that his mom is not at home.

He goes in his room, took a shower and changed into normal clothes.

After changing he goes in the kitchen and took out a pack of chips from the shelf and a glass of juice from the refrigerator.

After that he sat on the sofa and turned on the TV.

Even tho he was watching TV his mind was somewhere else.

He was still thinking about Neharika....

He was replaying the scene where she was trying to prove her innocence and the way she was looking like a kid while getting angry on them....she was looking cute....he thought to himself.

After realizing that he is literally thinking about a girl whom he met today only and she is also his friend's sister.

Ofc "Bro code", if she is your friend's sister than she is yours sis too....but nah uh not in this case -_- he was still thinking about her dark brown eyes, her chubby cheeks which was getting red coz of anger and lastly her soft, plumpy and red lips which were inviting him to just capture them....*clears his throat after realizing what he was thinking*

He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even realized that his mom was back from the market and was calling him but he wasn't answering. She came towards him and tap on his shoulders

Veer snapped out of his thoughts and turned his gaze towards his mother who was worried...

"Kya hua Veer, college mein kuch hua kya beta? Itna kis bare mein soch rahe ho? (What happened Veer, Anything happened in college? What are you thinking about?) Said with a worried tone

"Kuch nahi Maa...aao na yaha baitho mujhe baat karni hai aapse (Nothing Maa, come sit here I wanna talk to you)

Jaanki nods and sat beside him and was waiting for Veer to say something

"Maa mujhe na aaj subah ek ladki dikhi I mean mili thi...pata nahi kyu main uske bare mein bhul hi nahi paa raha (Mom today I met a girl in the college and I can't stop thinking about her)" Veer said while looking down feeling shy to share something like this with his mother, but right now he needed to share this with someone and his mother is the only one who wouldn't laugh at him for something like this.

His mother smiles softly and said "Mera baccha bada hogaya ha..(My son is growing up now huh)" Veer looked at his mother and smiled awkwardly.

"Are sharmao mat, bete ho tum mere mujhe hi bataoge na kisi aur ke pas to jaoge nahi ye sab batane...hai na? (You would obv share this all with me coz I am your mother Veer, no need to get shy) She said smiling and then continued "Beta tujhe agar wo ladki pasand hai to mujhe koi problem nahi hai , bas apne maze ke liye kisi ladki ka dil mat todna thik hai? (Beta i dont mind u liking someone, it's normal but do not ever break someone's heart just for fun, okay?)"

Veer smiles at his mother's statement and nods

"Maa wo sab chodo mujhe bhot bhook lagi hai kabse ye chips hi kha raha hu plz kuch bana do na khane ke liye (Mom I really hungry, I have been munching on these chips. Plz cook something for me na)" Said while rubbing his belly like a kid.

His mother chuckled and said "Ha ha waise bhi aaj raat dinner mein kadhai Paneer, Naan, daal aur rice banane wali aur jab tak khana bana rhi hu tab tak ke liye sandwich kha lo ok beta (ok ok, I am gonna cook kadhai paneer, Naan, daal and rice in the dinner till then eat a sandwich ok)" Said while getting up and going towards the kitchen

Time skip

The whole house had the aroma of Kadhai paneer and daal

Everyone was in the living room except Avni and Jaanki, (Veer's mother).

She was in the kitchen cooking while humming songs.

Avni was on the dining table hands on her cheeks admiring her mother and her cooking skills, she was smiling sweetly

[Ok I haven't told u the ages of the Malhotra family, sorry 😅

Veer's dad- 41, Veer's mom- 38, Avni- 10, Divit- 16, Veer- 19]

"Avu jao beta apne bhaiyo ko aur papa ko bulao khana khane ke liye tab tak main khana lagati hu (Avu go call your brothers and your dad for dinner, till then I will serve the food on the table)"

Avni nods and goes in the living room where she saw that Divit and Veer both were huffing and sighing because of boredom and her father was watching news..

"Aaj ki taaza khabar school mein hui 2 teachers ki maut. School ke baccho ko 1 mahine ki chutti dedi gayi, School ke teachers ka Daawa hai ki yeh murder unke Maths teacher ne kiya hai jo 7th standard ko padhate the- (A teacher murdered 2 other teacher in a school-)" this was the news her father was watching

"Are re, aaj kal ye teachers ko ho kya gaya, ek dusre ke khoon karne lag gaye hai bin matlab! Gadho ko akal nahi hai ki aisi harkato ke wajah se bacche bigadte hai (Don't know what has happened to these teachers nowadays, they dont even know what their behavior is gonna do to the students, they would also behave like them-)

Avni giggled and said "Bhaiya papa chalo khana khane mumma bula rahi hai (bhaiya, papa mumma is calling for dinner"

As soon as Divit and Veer heard their sister, they got up and ran towards the kitchen area where the dining table is.

Her dad also got up turned off the tv and joined them on the table

Now they all were enjoying their dinner when Avni Asked "Veer bhaiya aapka college kaisa tha? (How was your day at the college Bhaiya?)"

"Bhot maza aaya tum batao Avu tumhara din kaisa gaya aaj? (It was gooood, but tell me, how was your day?)"

Avu just smiled and said "it was good and what about you Divit bhaiya?"

Divit was so focused on his food that he just nodded while humming

Everyone laughed at Divit.

Divit awkwardly smiled with his mouth stuffed with food.

After eating everyone was now siting in the living room together playing some board games.

Avni was pouting coz she was not winning and Divit was laughing at her because she wasn't able to win points.

They all were having their family time and everyone was giggling, smiling and laughing.

On the other hands Veer was still thinking about Neharika.

He was still recalling everything that has happened in the college.

He was smiling while thinking about it.

His mother noticed him and smiled softly knowing that his son was starting to feel something new.

After playing games they all wished eachother good night and gone to their rooms.

In Jaanki's(mom) and Rajvanshi's(dad) room...

"Jaanki ji aaj Veer itna khoya khoya sa kyu lag raha tha (Jaanki why was Veer lost in his own world?)"

Veer's dad asked being worried about his son.

Jaanki was applying moisturizer and then sat on the bed where her husband was sitting and said "Aapka beta bada ho raha, hai man mein aayi hai kuch nayi feelings. Chodiye na aap sojaiye kal aapko office bhi to jana hai.(Nothing, your son is growing up, he is now feeling something new thats why he was lost the whole time)"said while smiling at him.

Veer's dad understood what was happening he smiled slightly and said "Accha ab samjha, chalo sahi hai bas ab nazar rakhna, kahi wo apne maze ya zidd ke chakar mein kisi ladki ka dil na tod de (Oh, ok ok but tell him that not to break someone's heart for his own fun)"

After that both had a sweet conversation, both of them asked eachother about the day and some discussions like office work and groceries and all. After atleast 15 minutes they both fell asleep.

On the other hand our Veer was laying on his bed. Lost in his thoughts, he was blushing and giggling.

Suddenly a flying pillow came towards him and he got hit directly on his face, he shouted "Abey kya hai!? (What!?)"

"Gadhe sojaa! Kal subah muskura lena (Sleep u donkey, u can smile like an i***t tomorrow in the morning!)" Divit said in a sleepy and irritated tone.

Veer huffed and threw divit's pillow back at him.

As Veer's eyelids grew heavy, he whispered a promise to himself: "Tomorrow, I'll talk to her again." A determined glint sparkled in his eyes, even as sleep claimed him. The stage was set for a new day, full of possibilities and promise.
