They were now at a restaurant, where Neharika and Vanshika were famished. The five friends chatted while waiting for their food. Suddenly, Neharika whispered to Vanshika, "Hey, what's with the marks on your neck?" Vanshika grew awkward and replied, "I'll tell you later, okay? I don't want to discuss it here in front of everyone."

Neharika frowned, her eyes narrowing as she stared at Vanshika. Then, she announced, "Guys, Vanshika and I are going to the restroom, okay?" Everyone nodded. Vanshika reluctantly got up, making a sad pout as Neharika gave her a stern look.

In the restroom, Neharika crossed her arms and asked, "Now, spill the beans. No one can hear us here." Vanshika sighed and began, "Listen, I'll tell you everything, but you have to promise not to get mad at me." Neharika nodded, her expression stern.

Vanshika took a deep breath and revealed, "I'm dating Vedansh, actually-" But before she could finish, Neharika screamed, "WHAT?!" Vanshika pleaded, "Don't be angry, please!" Neharika's jaw dropped in shock, her mind reeling from the news that her friend was dating someone and hadn't told her yet.

Vanshika made a puppy face, realizing her friend was upset. "Listen, I'm sorry. I just didn't want to tell you yet," Vanshika explained, her eyes wide with apology. Neharika took a deep breath and reassured her, "It's okay, maybe I'm overreacting. Don't worry, I won't tell your secret to anyone, I promise."

Vanshika smiled, relieved, and hugged Neharika. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Neharika chuckled and hugged her back. "So, how long have you two been dating?" Vanshika scratched the back of her neck and replied, "A month, actually. We're childhood best friends, but he didn't want to tell anyone, so we kept it a secret."

Neharika nodded understandingly and promised, "I'm happy for you, and I'll keep your secret, okay?" Vanshika grinned and said, "Now, let's go. I'm really hungry!"

After that, they both made their way back to the table where everyone is sitting.

"Lo bhai aagayi dono ab khana start karte hai (now let's start eating)" they had ordered Chinese food

Noodles, manchurian, and fried rice.

They were eating peacefully while chit chatting

Just then, Neharika started coughing after choking on her food

Veer immediately gave her his glass of water, and neharika drank it all in once.

She was breathing heavily, and her eyes were red because of sudden choking.

Anurag, who was sitting beside her, gently stroked her hair to calm her down.

Veer was worried and asked, "U okay Neharika?"

Neharika nodded after calming down. "Oye bacchi thoda dhyan se kha, mar jayegi to maa ko kya jawab dunga unki laadli beti ko kya hua (Aye, eat carefully, or you'll choke! What will I tell mom if something happens to her beloved daughter?)" he said jokingly

Neharika slapped him slightly and then continued eating.

Veer, who was still staring at her, was smiling like an i***t (in mind - Mere glass se paani piya 😆)

[Hey bhagwan ye bada kab hoga?]

Neharika frowned and asked, "Pagal to nahi hogye aap?(Are you mad or something?)"

Veer blushed and whispered to himself, "Aapke pyaar mein mohtarma (in your love....)"

"Ji?" Neharika asked

"Ji kuch nahi khane pe focus kare warna firse atak jayega aur agli baar apne glass se paani Pina(Alright, concentrate on your food. If you're not careful, you'll choke again, and next time, you'll have to take a sip from your glass.)" Neharika then said with a angry pout "I didn't asked you to give me your glass of water, u were the one to give me that"

Veer smiled and just stared at her while continued eating.

Neharika whispered, "Kutrya kahi ka." After saying that, she continued eating.

After 30 minutes, they were done eating their food, and now again......Anurag , Veer, and vedansh were fighting that who is gonna pay..

This time, Vanshika and Neharika got irritated and took out some money, and gave it to the waiter.

They turned towards the dogs. I mean the boys, and then Vanshika shouted, "Chuuppppppp."

The three of them got silent.

"Chalo kardiya pay humne," Neharika said, heading towards the exit door

"Are aisa thodi hota hai Nehu yaar papa chilayenge mujhe"Anurag said while getting up and then Veer spoke "Ha aise accha thodi lagta hai ki saamne 3 3 ladke hai tab bhi ladki ko pay karna pada-" before he could finish his sentence Neharika turned around and stared at both of them. "Ek aue shabd nikala na to dono ke gaal laal honge mere thapad ke kaaran(If you utter one more word, both of your cheeks will turn red because of my slap.)"

Veer and Anurag, both of them kept a finger on their lips like an obedient kid. "Good, now let's go," Neharika said and again started walking out of the restaurant.

Now they all are in the parking area. Suddenly Anurag got a call, he answered the call and frowned and then said "Ok ok I am coming" he hung up and said turning his gaze towards Veer "Veer, I need a favor, bro. Can you please drop Nehu home? One of my cousins is in the hospital, and my aunt is calling me there. I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important, and I'm sorry to burden you with this little monster." Veer nodded, smiling."Don't worry, I will drop her home safely, " he said, and then he thought," In his mind - bhagwan ji tussi great ho alone time with Ms.Neharika Haayeeeeeeee(God, you're the best! Getting alone time with Neharika? Yes, please!)"

"Are but bhaiya aap hi chod do na ghar, zyada time thodi jayega (bhaiya why don't u only drop me home? It wouldn't take much time)" neharika said, holding her brother's shirt like a kid stopping her father to not leave her alone in the school (IT'S JUST AN EXAMPLE)

Anurag's eyes softened a bit and he said "Veer acche se aur ek dum safely tujhe ghar tak chod dega aur bacche zruri nahi hota na to tujhe aise raat mein chodke nahi jaata aur plus Veer accha hai bhale hi mazak karta hai but dil ka accha hai tu dar mat aur agar kuch kiya to uska gala kaat dalunga main (Don't worry sis Veer will drop u home safely, and if it wouldn't have been important na...then I wouldn't have to leave you like this and plus Veer is a nice guy dont worry, if he does something I will kill him)" he said while patting her head and smiled softly

Neharika nodded slowly and said "aapko location bhej rhi hu check karte rehna (I am sending u my location ok)" she said whispering a bit kot wanting Veer to think that in her eyes he is a really bad person.

After that, Anurag drove off with his bike to the hospital.

"Umm, vedansh, can u drop me?" Vanshika said, trying to ignore Neharika's gaze, who started teasing her when she heard her asking him to drop her to her home.

"Sure," Vedansh said, and then they drove off too.

Now it's just Veer and Neharika left there

"Mohtarma chale?" Veer asked, smiling and leaning on his bike

Neharika nodded and then wore the helmet her brother gave. "Let's go," she said and then stood in front of him

Veer understood that she was gesturing for him to sit on the bike.

He immediately sat on the bike and then she with the help of his support sat behind him "Neharika ji u have to hold me or else u will fall off in the middle of the road" Veer said while wearing his helmet.

Neharika just held his T-shirt.

Veer chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and started driving the bike, the engine roaring to life as they sped off into the night.

The entire ride wad silent, but both of their minds were not in silence (in his mind- Why am I already crushing on a girl I've only known for 2-3 days?) Veer wondered, catching a glimpse of her through the rearview mirror.

Neharika, who was unaware of his gaze, was thinking (Why am I feeling butterflies when I look at him?????)

Both were in their own world, trying to find the answers to their questions.

Both of their hearts were beating fast as they were really close.

There was a tint of blush on Neharika's cheeks as she was replaying the moment in horror room, the way he was looking at her, and the fact that he was calling her 'Mohtarma' 🤌 Ufff

It's like her heart is melting, which was frozen like an ice because of her past.

Same thing is happening to Veer.....he was a rude guy who never gave a fu- about a girl's feeling...he wasn't a playboy but he never cared about anyone other than his family and his friends but this is the first time he is caring about a girl whom he just met....

It's like u are craving for something, but that something is the thing that u never liked.

Neharika eyes were narrowed thinking deeply that what's the reason of her heart getting fluttered when he is close to her where as Veer's eyes are soft and trying to find the reason behind him falling for her. While thinking all of this, suddenly neharika saw that there are fire works happening.

She subconsciously said "Wow" Veer heard her, and then he looked at the direction where she was looking. He smiled and then turned his gaze, focusing on the road. "U love fireworks." Neharika nodded, and "yeah, "

Veer thought for a second and said, "Let's go to the beach........" neharika frowned and said,"Why?" Veer didn't answer her question. She just chuckled and then turned his bike and headed towards the beach.....

Cold breeze, sound of sea water, and beautiful moon

"Wow," this was the word that came out of Neharika's mouth when they reached there.

Veer goes towards a shop which is near a tree. Neharika didn't notice that she was standing alone there till she turned her head to the direction where Veer was. She saw Veer was buying something. She then turned her gaze towards the beack where some of the families were enjoying the fireworks. Some were chit chatting near the bonfire, and some were with their partners walking near the sea. She smiled, looking at them. Some were newly wedded couple. While she was noticing them, she didn't know why she started imagining herself with Veer there. Her smile dropped when she realized what she was thinking. She tried to ignore everything and shifted her gaze towards the sea, it was picth black but still the sound of water and waves, it was really peaceful which made her subconsciously close her eyes....enjoying it and crossing her arms feeling the cold breeze across her body. "Haaye," Veer said, looking at Neharika, who was smiling sweetly, and her eyes were closed. He was admiring her beauty while standing infront of her, he was having the urge to hug her and kiss her forehead but he can't so he wad just admiring her until Neharika opened her eyes after hearing his voice.

When she opened her eyes, she saw him staring at her lovingly, seeing him her heart again did that thing. She again felt butterflies looking into his eyes. Both were staring at each other, fully lost just them some boys from the back were playing some games... they shouted "hurrayyyy", hearing them shout they came out of their world and neharika immediately looked away. Veer just smiled looking at her and said "Ye lijiye Mohtarma, patakhe, fuljadi aur jo jo aapko chaiye hoga(Here you go, Mohtarma, fireworks, sparklers, and whatever else you might want)" he said giving her the plastic bag full of fireworks and then again spoke "I have ordered some snacks too they will be here in few minutes till then u can enjoy the fireworks" he said and took out a match stick and gave it to her.

"Would u like to light the fireworks with me?" Said Neharika avoiding eye contact, Veer grinned like a kid and immediately said "Yeah sure"

There was a small smile on Neharika's face.

As they lit the fireworks together, the night sky transformed into a canvas of twinkling lights, mirroring the sparkles in Neharika's eyes. Veer's gaze drifted toward her, captivated by the gentle smile that danced on her lips as she ignited a sparkler. The soft glow of the flame illuminated her face, and for a moment, time stood still. The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, suspended in a sea of sparkling lights.

After enjoying the fireworks they sat together on the beach, the snacks Veer had ordered arrived, filling the air with the savory aromas of street food that wafted around them like a warm embrace. They sat in comfortable silence, munching on the crispy treats, the sound of the waves gently lapping at the shore like a lullaby. Neharika, still shy, spoke in hushed tones, her words few and far between, but each one sent Veer's heart skipping a beat. He, on the other hand, was content to simply gaze at her, his eyes drinking in the sight of her profile, illuminated by the soft glow of the moon, making her look like a dream he never wanted to wake up from.

As they finished their snacks, Veer and Neharika got up, brushing the sand off their clothes. The night air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers as they strolled hand in hand towards Neharika's house. The sound of crickets and the occasional barking of dogs in the distance created a soothing melody.

Time skip~

As they reached her doorstep, Veer turned to Neharika, his eyes locking onto hers. "I had a great time tonight," he said, his voice low and husky. Neharika smiled, her cheeks flushing with a soft pink hue.

Veer's eyes lingered on hers for a moment before he leaned in to whisper, "Goodnight, Neharika." His warm breath sent shivers down her spine as he gently brushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

As Neharika stepped inside, Veer lingered by his bike, his eyes fixed on the doorway where she had disappeared. He felt an overwhelming urge to stop her, to pull her back into his arms, but he couldn't. Instead, he let out a low chuckle, shaking his head at his own foolishness.

With a final glance at the house, Veer swung his leg over the bike and kickstarted the engine. As he rode away into the night, the sound of his bike faded into the distance, leaving behind only the echoes of his laughter and the memories of a magical night.

As he rode away, Veer couldn't shake off the feeling that he'd left a part of himself behind. He smiled to himself, wondering what it was about Neharika that made him feel so alive. Tonight had been just the beginning

On Neharika's side~

Back in her room, Neharika replayed the evening's events, her mind lingering on Veer's gentle touch and the way his eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled. She felt a flutter in her chest as she recalled the way he'd looked at her, like he could see right through to her soul. With a soft sigh, she drifted off to sleep, a smile still on her lips.
