A New Plot
“I have a plan,” Ellen told us that evening at dinner. “It won’t be easy, but I think, with a little tweaking and input from you all, that it will work nicely. If we do it right, our friend, Denise, will quietly and invisibly leave the neighborhood and never return. If we fail…well, we won’t fail, because this plan is concise and has, as far as I can tell, no loopholes.”
