Titus
It’s been three days, and no one has an answer for us about what is going on with Cali.
This is the second day of us missing school and although I don’t care and prefer the alone time with my mate- she is already getting anxious about missing.
Eric, Olive, Hugh, and Britt are still going and are bringing work back to Cali, so she isn’t getting behind. She’s grateful for it, but I can tell she’s running out of patience. We’ve tried to use Andrea’s magic to cover Cali’s identity again, at least while we’re at school, but nothing works.
Every single thing we’ve tried just doesn’t work. It’s like Cali’s eyes and markings want to be shown and refuse to be hidden.
Since I’ve been at home, I’ve been handling the Alpha duties more instead of having our old Beta handle stuff while I’m in school. For the most part I stay in my office and Cali now joins me in there to do her schoolwork.
I’m grateful for her company and her presence, but right now I’m struggling to control my wolf and the urge to mark her. I don’t know why it’s like this. She’s not in heat, but ever since her eye color and markings showed up the pull to her has been stronger than ever.
She seems to feel it a bit too because she constantly wants to be near me, but she is very careful to not let us go too far.
I hear her groan loudly and I glance up from my work to see her dramatically lifting her head towards the ceiling as she groans and then says, “Titus! I’m bored! I want to go back to school.”
I smirk, “I know, dear, and as soon as we can we’ll let you go back.”
She glares at me because she knows I’m a big part of the reason she can’t go back. I’m just trying to keep her safe. With her eyes and markings, she would just stand out too much.
She stands up and stretches and I lean back in my seat and watch as she begins to pace in front of me and she says, “I just, I need to go out and do something. Please, Titus!”
I ask, “Do you want to take a run through the woods? Let Esther out?”
She huffs and says, “I want to leave these perimeters, Titus. There has to be something we can do.”
I exhale and say, “I don’t know, Cali. I don’t know how for us to hide your eyes and your markings.”
She leans her head against the wall and begins to hit it with her hand and then suddenly straightens up and looks at me. She smiles, “I can cut my hair and have bangs- that would cover the markings on my forehead and the ones on my arms, well, it’s fall about to be winter. I’m wearing long sleeves anyway! Maybe we could get me like some colored contacts or have Andrea try to cover just my eye color.”
I shrug, “It’s worth a shot. How about you go get some lunch and I’ll find Andrea and talk to her?”
Cali smiles and rushes to give me a kiss and then leaves me to find food. I breathe out slowly, I really hope this works because I hate seeing her so upset.
Cal
I can’t help but feel restless being stuck inside the pack house and the pack ground limits.
I want to go to school, go on dates with Titus, and just do anything that doesn’t involve being here 24/7.
I haven’t told Titus, but honestly the way I’m feeling really scares me because it makes me question if I will be able to handle being his Luna.
It’s only three more days before Titus officially has a ceremony to add my parents and I to his pack and it makes me more and more anxious as it comes up.
His mom took my measurements once and told me it was for a surprise, but from what I gathered from Olive and Britt it is customary for the Luna to wear a specific dress at her Luna ceremony. If Titus marks me before Friday, then that means that Friday will also be my Luna ceremony. I think everyone is expecting that to happen.
I’ve spent tons of time with Titus lately as I just feel drawn to him due to the mate bond, but I am very careful for things to not get too heated between us. I am scared of becoming Luna, I am scared that s*x might ruin our relationship, I am just scared of this whole life. I have no one I can talk to about it because no one will understand.
I eat a burger for lunch and then wait in the meeting room for Andrea. We choose to meet in here because it’s soundproof so if I get loud then no one will worry.
Titus now trusts Andrea, so he doesn’t always sit with us while she works her magic on me. I hope and pray that she will be able to disguise just my eyes so I can get back to school.
She takes a deep breath as she walks into the room and then greets me, “Hi Cal.”
I smile, “Hi Andrea!”
She comes and sits in front of me and she says, “I hear you want to have brown eyes only?”
I nod in approval and she smiles at me and says, “I’ll do what I can, Cal, but I don’t know if it will work.”
I nod, “I understand.”
I don’t know how long we sit together, but by the end of it, it worked!
My eyes are back to their brown color and now all I need to do is get my haircut and then I would be able to go back to school tomorrow.
I walk to go talk to Titus, but he’s no longer in his office so I just go find a pack member to talk to until eventually I find an omega that can cut my hair.
I like being around the omegas, once I made a good rapport with them they agreed to stop referring to me as Luna and treat me like a normal girl. I don’t understand why they’re called omegas, but they get treated well and that makes me happy.
As she finishes my hair, I look in the mirror with a smile on my face.
Tomorrow, I get to go back and no one can stop me!
