Titus

Well, that is certainly not how intended for things to go.

I splash some cold water on my face, and I sit on the bathroom floor and I can hear the others right outside.

God, if they didn’t know then I probably would’ve marked her, and we probably would’ve mated. She’s not ready for that. I’m the man, I’m the Alpha, I have to have more restraint and self-control and not take advantage of circumstances.

I take a deep breath and get off the ground and walk back out to join the others. I walk in the room and I see that the guys are both sitting by the table on the balcony already eating their food while the girls are all sitting on the bed and talking. I walk over to Cali and give her a kiss on her head, and she smiles brightly at me while her friends nod to me showing that they acknowledge my presence.

I grab an extra chair and walk out to sit with the boys, and I can’t help but smirk when I see the mountain of food on both of their plates. I remark, “I assume the two of you will be getting an extra-long workout today?”

Hugh mutters, “Oh shut up, man, today was stressful.”

I laugh, “Yeah, you’re right it was.”

Eric says, “I’m glad she’s a wolf.”

I nod with a smile as I remember how gorgeous her wolf is and say, “Yeah, I am too.”

Eric says, “I’ve never seen a wolf like hers.”

Hugh adds, “Me either. It makes you wonder where she comes from.”

I look back towards Cali as she laughs at something one of the girls said. There is still so much I have to learn about her and so much that she needs to learn and figure out for herself.

Cal

I open the door and my friends come flooding inside the room. The boys immediately saw the feast that Titus had made up and they flocked over there and started making huge plates. I look at the girls who both roll their eyes.

Britt looks me up and down and says, “Huh, I wonder what you were up to?”

My cheeks turn a bright red as she laughs and goes and gets a plate of food. Olive wraps her arms around me and says softly, “I’m so glad that you’re okay, Cal.”

I hug her back and say, “Me too.”

She pulls away from me and walks to get her food and I go sit on Titus’ or well I guess it’s my bed now.

The girls stand as they eat while the boys go off to the table on the balcony. My eyes flicker towards the bathroom and I wonder if Titus is okay. I hope he’s not upset.

Soon, the girls set down their plates and joined me on the bed and Britt asks, “So, how does it feel knowing that you’re a wolf?”

“It’s weird, but it seems normal. Besides I love my wolf and I’m really excited to get to know her better and to know that she’s a part of me now.”

Olive says, “She is a gorgeous wolf.”

I smile and nod in agreement and ask, “What do your wolves look like?”

Olive opens her mouth to respond, but Britt scoffs loudly and remarks, “My wolf looks like poop compared to yours.”

I can’t help but laugh and then she winces and mutters, “My wolf got mad.”

Both Olive and I c***k up at her comment and I hear the door open, and I look over towards Titus. He smiles as he walks towards me and he gives me a kiss on my head and then nods to acknowledge the girls before going to join the guys.

Olive says, “Your wolf looks a lot different than what we’re used to seeing. Neither of our wolves are ugly.” She says that and gives Britt a pointed look that makes her murmur something and Olive looks back at me and says, “My wolf is brown, and it doesn’t have any unusual markings and it’s eyes are gray.”

Britt says, “Mine is a reddish brown and her eyes will typically stay green like mine unless she gets mad then they turn black.”

I look over towards the guys and see that they all finished their plates, and no one is talking right now. I stand up and walk towards them and I can hear the girl’s footsteps as they follow me. I take Titus by surprise as I sit in his lap and ask, “Do you guys mind if we join you?”

Hugh grins, “I don’t mind as long as my mate will sit with me like that.”

I see Britt roll her eyes but sits down in his lap and lets out a shriek and a giggle as he buries his face into the crook of her neck. Olive sits down in Eric’s lap and he smiles at her and she gives him a quick peck on the lips and turns her attention to Titus and me. She asks, “So, Titus, how does it feel to finally have your mate staying under the same roof?”

I look towards him and his eyes meet mine as he answers Olive, “You know, I would’ve waited an eternity for Cali, but I am very happy to have her here with us where she belongs.”

I smile at him and his hand grips the back of my head and his fingers tangle into my hair as he pulls me closer to him and give me a small, but so passionate kiss.

He makes me blush from his actions, but I cuddle closer to him and enjoy the time we all spend together until the others leave. Leaving the two of us alone to go to bed and have our first night ever together.
