Titus Tomorrow is Christmas. I should be spending my time getting the perfect gift for Calliope, baking with her, drinking hot chocolate, cuddling up with her on these cold days, and letting our wolves run in the snow. Calliope is still gone, and I have lost a lot of my hope of finding her. I touch my neck where her mark on me used to reside, but it’s gone. The gold in my eyes has faded as well and I feel weaker without her here. I walk down to the kitchen and see my mom baking and she looks over at me with a small smile on her face. I know that she wants to reassure me that everything will be okay, but it’s hard to feel like that’s true. She passes me a plate that has different baked goods on it, and I smile softly and murmur, “Thanks, mom.” “Your welcome, son, now we need to talk.
