Sixty-Seven | Surprise!

1250 Words
Cal I’m very excited for tonight and I can tell with the way that Britt and Olive are acting that tonight is going to be incredible. Due to the upcoming party Titus decided that we would focus on my training with him on Monday. I understand his reasoning and honestly, I appreciate it. He told me he would’ve chosen us to start tomorrow but decided against it because he doesn’t know how late we’ll be up or if we’ll get drunk tonight. We’re in a slight disagreement right now because I think we should invite the Starry Shadows pack with their high school seniors to come party as well, but Titus doesn’t want to. The only reason he doesn’t want to is due to Alexander, but I honestly think it may help us bring the packs closer together which has been the whole goal. I sit on the futon and play on my computer when I hear the door open. I look to see Titus coming in and he huffs and says, “Invite Starry Shadows.” My eyes widen in surprise and I ask, “Really?” He nods and says, “It may actually help our pack. We go to school with these other students and a lot of people are good friends and it overall would be good for us. Just promise me that you will stay away from Alexander.” I nod, “I promise.” He adds, “And Haley.” I chuckle, “You couldn’t pay me to seek her out and be all buddy buddy with her.” He smirks at my comment and says, “Have I told you how great of a Luna you are?” I smile, “You may have mentioned something once or twice.” He grins as he comes over to me and gives me a soft kiss and whispers, “I say it because it’s true. I don’t know what I’d do without you.” He pulls away from me and says, “I need you to read over a letter for me. We finally found an email address for us to get in contact with the Alpha King and Queen and I want to see what you think and if we explain everything well enough.” I nod, “Okay, sounds good.” Titus most of the time always notices the little details. He noticed how my back got straighter and how I started playing with my hands out of nervousness. He asks, “Are you okay?” I nod, “Yeah, of course, you know we’re just messaging my potential biological parents and informing them about my existence.” He chuckles, “You don’t have to read it if you don’t want to. I could show your dad or something if that is better for you?” “Could you? Just the whole thing makes me really antsy right now. I’m nervous to learn about my origin.” He nods and says, “Yeah, of course, love.” I smile as I get up and say, “I’m going to head over to Rose’s. Olive and Britt have pretty much banned me from helping with the party and I know Rose is going crazy because this is her second day without kids and she has nothing to do.” Titus chuckles lowly and he says, “Hey?” I turn back towards him and say, “Yeah?” “This is something we haven’t really talked about much, but I would like you to start thinking about.” I nod and say hesitantly, “Okay?” “I’d like to discuss when we would like to start having kids.” My mouth feels dry at the thought and I say, “Okay, can we talk about it later?” He nods with a tight smile, “Of course.” I give him a quick kiss and say, “I’ll see you later. I’ll be at Rose’s if you need me.” Titus Cali rushes out of my office and I feel bad knowing that I kind of ambushed her. But seeing her constantly helping Rose with her two kids- I can’t help but think about seeing Cali as a mother to our own kids. I know she’ll want to get through high school first and that’s fine. I hear a knock on my door, and I mutter, “Come in!” I smile as Eric and Hugh walk in and they both look around the room and ask, “Where’s Cal?” “She went to Rose’s.” They both nod and call, “Come on, girls.” Both Olive and Britt run in and my eyes widen as I immediately notice the difference in both of the girl’s scents. I close my eyes as I focus on the amount of heartbeats in the room. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. There are eight heartbeats in the room but only five of us standing here. I smile, “I see congratulations are in order.” The girls both laugh, and Olive says, “We want to surprise Cal, but we wanted to get through the party that’s why we haven’t allowed her to come around us. I’m sure she would notice the change in our scent.” I nod, “That makes sense, I’m sure she’ll be ecstatic for you both.” Hugh asks, “Can you hear the heartbeats, Titus?” I nod and both of the girls eyes widen and they ask, “How many do you hear?” My eyebrows furrow and Eric explains, “None of us can hear the heartbeats yet. But I’ve heard since Alpha’s are stronger that they typically have a stronger sense of hearing as well. We were hoping you could hear it.” I nod, “I do. And one of you have more than one baby in there. But I wouldn’t be able to tell which one unless I was in the room alone with you.” Britt squeals, “Me first! Everyone out!” We all started laughing at her antics but we all listened. We sat in the room together and she looked at me nervously and asked, “Well, is it me?” I focus on the individual heartbeats and hers is about to beat out of her chest and I call out, “Everyone get back in here.” They all look at me nervously and I look at Hugh then at Britt and smile, “Congratulations you two, you’re having twins!” They both begin to tear up and turn towards each other as they hug tightly. Olive smiles and looks at Eric and says, “I’m so glad it’s not us.” He chuckles as he pulls her close to his chest and mutters, “I would’ve been happy either way.” I watch them feeling happy for them, but I can’t help but wish that this was me and Cali too.
