chapter 2 The break-up with Mei

It was a lovely Monday morning as I was preparing for work just like any other normal days, I prepared my thing and took a shower
As I was about to leave a notification on my phone blinked I knew for sure that it was my lovely Mei . My heart skipped a bit when I saw that today her massage was clear no emoji no hearts just blank and cold..
I did not open the text as I was in a hurry to avoid the traffic in China even though I was just working 30 minutes away but I couldn't use public transportation as it is always occupied.
As I was driving my mind came to think about what would that text be saying? I was driving 60km/hour then I opened the text and began reading.... I couldn't believe a thing she was saying.
'' Hey Sky I hope you slept well but I couldn't sleep myself , you are a great guy Sky but I have to let you go'. ( before I could finish the text I felt like I was punched a thousand times on my chest I had to take a breath for a minute and continued).
' I have been dating Chane for several months now and I'm more happier with him so this my good bye I wish you long life and happiness as well you will find someone too no hard feelings, I will come over to take my things by lunch time your spare key will be under the mat''.
I was good at self control just arrived at work and smile like any normal day with colleagues and c***k jokes no one suspected that I was a bit done so I couldn't find time to spare just all hands on deck.
During lunch time I took out my phone and replied to her ''are you for real Mei Or this just one of your pranks ?'' (SENT ) .I waited for several minutes until end of lunch but still no reply that's when I started to worry.
Well time went by without noticing as Im the last to leave work always but on this day I left early just to reprocess the whole thing. I was driving slow so slow like a turtle, the hooting of cars behind me gave me a head ache.
After I packed the car I went straight to where Mei said she will put the key and found nothing I was so relieved in my mind I told myself it's a good prank she putting I asked My self '' is it our anniversary?''and I did not get her a thing she will be frustrated.
Then it came back to me, no man our anniversary was two months ago I remembered by looking at the portrait she has put by the television stander as it's their culture to have this portrait for peace and success.
I freshened up to catch out on my favorite series. Few minutes later watching Television I heard a knock on the door (knock knock) before I can even ask the person in I heard her voice 'sky it's Mei ' a little smile came to my face .
''I thought you left me for real babe''I said to her. Before I can say anything else she took a box from outside filled with my things that was in her crib and put it by the coffee table.
'I brought your things no hard feelings but I still stand by my words it's really over I can not be with you anymore so I will take what's mine and leave as you were I with you happiness as well '.
She did not offer me a chance to say something back she took her things and her last words were 'here are your keys' by putting then on the table,she left. It took me seven minutes to wake from the nightmare I was in when I looked around her things were gone.
I know I'm not a coward but I quickly looked for the most expensive wisky I could find and poured a glass full trying to swallow down her words and not think about her But my head kept spinning and spinning the whole night .
'Mei! Mei! Mei! Why are you doing this to me why? You know I love you I want to settle with you I want to be the father of your children Mei! why Mei!?'. Busy hitting the wall as if she was there right infront of me,unfortunately she was long gone.
I was really broken I had to drink,drink and drink myself to sleep thinking that maybe I wouldn't dream about her or have any thought about her as well my heart was in pain like thousand chariots staped on it. I was in pieces even though I could not see it but I felt it.
