Scarlett felt a surge of relief that her identity remained hidden. Yet, a pang of disappointment followed.
It seemed Wesley wasn’t uniquely drawn to her other persona; he’d help any woman deserving of his assistance. But then she reconsidered. Wesley had done nothing wrong; she was the one overthinking.
