Lloyd smiled when his phone beeped, notifying him of a new text. He checked and saw it was from Kelly. He then sent a reply immediately, informing her that he was free and available. He has been checking his phone ever since they left the party and each went their separate ways. A part of him felt it was good that he gave her the chance to make that decision for herself, as it would have him a whole lot of stress. However, another part of him wished he didn't. This part felt like he was throwing a good thing away by stepping back and leaving things to chance.
What if she doesn't call back? What if it skips her mind? What if she doesn't want to disturb? What ifs and a lot of what ifs ran through his mind as he kept contemplating if he made the right decision or not.
