Although Kelly set an alarm for the next morning as she always does for work, still, it was Andrea's call that woke her first thing in the morning. She had barely said good morning when her alarm went off. Andrea gave a squeaky sound as she heard the clock go off over the phone. It was almost deafening. Kelly intentionally that loud. She feared the same incident that happened the previous morning might happen. She had no drink but she just wanted to be on the safe side. "Sorry about that." She apologized to Andrea who chuckled lightly. "I totally understand you, but is it just me or its oddly louder this morning. Is it deliberate?" Andrea asked and when there was no answer from her friend, she got the hint which made her laugh so loud. "I would do the same too, so it's all love from this side." She added which made Kelly laugh too. She had been silent all the while but the way Andrea said it was funny and she just couldn't keep the trickling in. "Ohhh please, good morning love." Kelly finally said amidst the laugher. "Morrrrrrnnninnng..." Andrea replied in a rhythmic tone. "I called to wake you, you know you're a sleeping beauty now who needs to be saved by her best friend." She added in a sarcastic manner. "And she was just in time..." Kelly replied in a complimenting sarcastic manner too. "Thanks... I'm blowing you lots of kisses right now." She added. "Awwwwwwwn... I can feel and see them flying all around the room right now." Andrea replied. They talked for a short while more before they hung up to get prepared for work. Kelly said a short prayer afterward. It's been long she did that but somehow, she felt the need to do so. Just maybe, it would help her get out of the mess she's in and then as a bonus, would bring her love back to her. She sighed as she sat at the dressing table. Her face was still a bit swollen and eyes sunk in but better than yesterday. She felt a tap on her shoulder which made her look. It was a dejavu from three days back. A day to Wiliam's birthday and breakup. She had just gotten out of bed and applying her routine morning face care when William walked up to her, placed his hand on her shoulder and then bent over to place a gentle kiss on her neck. "You smell nice, you always do." He sweetly whispered in her ears while she giggled. "Thanks love." She replied and then turned to him for another kiss. This time, on the lips. "Why do you apply that every morning though? You look good already." He said casually as he gave the products a scrutiny look. They were up to different ten bottles and scrubs on the dressing table, though, all from the same manufacturer - Perfect Glow. It's a beauty company whose beautiful works precedes. Their products are quite on the high side of cost but very efficient. Kelly was still an intern at the restaurant when the beauty company was founded. As luck would have it, they had one of their first business meetings as a startup company at the restaurant. Kelly was one of the chefs who handled their buffet and that was how she got to know about the company. She got some essential products at a discount then, tried them and fell head over heels with the result. Ever since then, she has been a lover and loyal customer... "You can't too good, you know," Kelly chimed in and them continued with it not minding his look. "Would you like to give it a try? Trust me, you will be so amazed with the result?" She said to Wiliam, who only gave a light scoff. "Thanks, I think I'd have to pass this time." He replied and then vanished into the bathroom... "Oh my God!!!" Kelly let out in a pitched tone. She went in too hard with the face scrub while lost in thought but who could blame her? It was indeed a sweet memory. She jumped up on her feet as she checked her phone and saw she had just wasted thirty minutes drooling on a moment that wouldn't do her any good. She hadn't even applied any face care. She had just started to scrub when she drifted away into thoughts and was still scribing thirty minutes later when she jerked back to reality. She didn't take long in the bathroom but she stayed long enough to get the a sparkling clean skin. At least that should make do for yesterday's rushed bathe. This time, she took her time fixing her makeup and by the time she was done, no one would believe her if she told them that she woke up with a swollen face and red eyes. That was how flawless she looked. Not that she needs makeup to look that good, makeup only be through for her as a temporary solution. On any other day, she still looks ever beautiful. Lastly, she wore her cologne, still from Perfect Glow, grabbed her phone and bag, and stepped out of the room. She had a quick breakfast, a freshly prepared coffee and some leftover cookies from the previous evening. Just as she was through with the dishes and about leaving the kitchen, her phone rang. It was Andrea again. Kelly smiled when she saw this. It reminded her of their lives as a student in the culinary school. Andrea was more of a elder sister who always watching out for her little sister, Kelly. But it wasn't and still isn't one sided. They always come through for each other. "Someone is taking their life saver job seriously..." Kelly said with sarcasm as she answered the phone and left the kitchen. "Hahahah very funny." Andrea replied with sarcasm too. "Are you ready?" She asked. "You're just in time once more this morning. I should get you a gift you know, so on time." Kelly continued with the sarcasm. "Yes, I'm ready. I will be out in a minute." She said and then grabbed her car keys...
