"Babe? Where are you? I'm home!" William called out as he entered the room and made his way around. "I'm right here honey." Kelly replied out loud from the closet as she took few steps back and met him halfway into the bedroom. His lips tasted a bit sweaty so she pulled back and signalled him to get a quick shower with a smile. She had just gotten home as well and was getting off her dress. She stood in awe at the spot and watched as he hurried out of his suit. It was such a satisfying stare... "How did I ever get so lucky..." She muttered absentmindedly under her breath while still engrossed in Wiliam's fully packed body. "What? Babe?" He called out followed by a snap of his fingers when Kelly wouldn't answer him. "Ohh, nothing... I'm fine." She chimed in nervously after which she quickly went back into the closet... Everyone remembers their first crush. For Kelly, there were a few before her world revolved around her first "man crush" in Culinary school. If only her crush story was as elaborate as others. People want extravagance and butterflies when they hear crush stories. They start to imagine Cinderella kind of happy ending or these dramatic scenes like in soap operas complete with orchestral music in the background, close-up shots of the lovers' eyes pooling in tears and how they lived happily ever after. Well, Kelly was not sure if that exist or not, but hers wasn't like that... It began on her first day at Culinary school. She had no clue as to where to go or who to talk to. Her sister, Freya, has always sorted everything for her her whole life. So finding herself in such a place full of buildings and strangers who could care less about her made Kelly homesick real fast. She was about turning back when a model-like figure walked past her. The atmosphere was full of sunshine and rainbows the moment their eyes met, though not for long. She wasn't certain if he even noticed her because he was so engrossed in the conversation he was having with his company, but Kelly sure did notice him. She kept staring until she heard a sharp sound. It was her neck telling her it had reached its limit. Anymore stretch and she would find herself in the hospital's operating room. Thankfully, the guy was out of sight then, so Kelly gave up and decided to continue her clueless journey into her Culinary career. All she did was make a u-turn and she was in someone else's face. This time, it was a lady and Kelly bumped really hard into her. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry... I'm really so clumsy." Kelly quickly apologized while she bent over and started packing the lady's things which were now scattered all over. The lady did the same as well. "Oh, no no, it's fine. I wasn't looking in my way as well." The lady apologized too and they both smiled. "Here..." Kelly said as she handed the lady her things but she couldn't take it cause she was with Kelly's as well. They both burst into laughter at this realisation after which they took a deep breath and let it out slowly. They were both freshmen and the lady was even more clueless than Kelly was. They walked into the first building that caught their fancy where they exchanged their things and finally got the chance to a proper introduction. "Hi, I'm Andrea Morris." The lady said as she reached out her hand for a handshake with confidence. She was so beautiful and looked like a cover girl from one of those celebrity magazines. Yes, she was that cute. Kelly and Andrea sat, talked and by the end of the class, they were passing notes back and forth, and already coming up with cute friendship names. They were still arguing about the names when they heard a loud shout. They both looked up and saw some students on the podium. Apparently, they were the seniors, they were probably in their second or final year and there to address the newbies. Kelly couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the same guy who caught her attention earlier among the seniors. This time, she had the chance to see him more closely and clearly. They locked eyes once more and Kelly could tell that he felt the chemistry too. As he made his way towards her, Kelly felt her heart stopped and everything turned into a standstill. For a minute there, she thought she was going to pass out. Yeah, she was that awed. "Hi, I'm Wiliam Miller. I'm so sorry I ignored you earlier, it seemed like you were going to ask me something." He said politely, causing Kelly's heart to flutter the more. "Oh my God, he noticed me earlier! He noticed me!!!" Kelly screamed inwardly with a blank outward expression. "Uhnuhm... Hello Wiliam." Andrea replied him. She noticed how lost Kelly was, reason why she stepped in so Kelly could have ample time to comport herself. When this still didn't work, Andrea then cleared her throat to jerk her from her thoughts. "Hi, I'm Kelly Meyers." Kelly finally replied in a very low tone that anyone would have to strain their ears to hear her. William then introduced himself as a law student who was there to visit his friend which apparently was one of the seniors who came to address them... That was the start of a beautiful friendship between the three and it was always an upbeat one. Although, Wiliam was fairly funny, Kelly still laughed out loud at all his dry jokes. His humor was one of the many things that won her heart. His ability to make her giggle and his sweet words earned him more time with her. Every moment and day spent together was invested in her crush bank which was never full. They went to parties together, ate together, studied together. It was these things that made their friendship blissful. However, this bliss only lasted till Wiliam suddenly stopped calling. He was in his final year at the time in law school. At first, Kelly tried all means to reach him but all efforts proved abortive, she stopped. She was pained but there was nothing she could do than forget about him and focus on her career. Two years later on their graduation, luck shone once more on her. She got her crush back... It was just a few hours to their graduation from culinary school, Kelly and Andrea were getting ready with her sister, Freya's help. Andrea was putting some last minute touches to their gowns, Freya was curling Kelly's hair while she was sitting like a prom queen in front of the mirror. She was dressed in just bra and panties as she didn't want to soil her gown just yet. "Can I put mine on now?" Andrea asked while she waited patiently for you get the accepting head nod which Freya managed to give as she carefully held the curling iron in a rolled piece of hair. "Sure. I'll put a towel round you to trap the hair." Freya replied. As the burning hair spray sizzled from the heat, Kelly's eyes strayed from the mirror to Andrea who was now busy on her phone. The broad smile on her face spoke louder than her silence. Kelly couldn't leave the dressing table yet so she waited till Freya was done with the last piece of her hair which was rolled around the curling iron, after which she quietly snuck behind Andrea and checked what she was doing. "That's it? Oh, I thought there was more!" Kelly taunted while she quickly moved back. She thought Andrea would want to get back at her for sneaking around her. But Andrea didn't. Instead, she turned to her, smiled brightly, and then showed the phone screen to her. "Read to the end." She chimed in slowly. Kelly did, and surprisingly, it was a congratulatory message from William and also a notice that he would be in attendance. Kelly's joy immediately shot up and she couldn't wait to see him. They quickly got dressed, Freya did Andrea's hair too while Kelly did her makeup. When they were done, they quickly made their way to the graduation hall. "Congratulations on your graduation, I'm proud of you both." Wiliam's sweet voice resounded as he hugged both of them one after the other. "You look so good." He whispered in Kelly's ear while she kinked the corner of her lips upward in a shy smile...
