My face went pale, my body shook as the car drove off. What was happening to me? Everything was happening so fast. First I left an almost 2-year relationship, thought I could squat with a friend, ran into a Cartel Boss, and now he’s dragging me home like he owned me. My throat went dry. The thought of Lorenzo being a Mafia boss sent fear down my spine again. My eyes were still filled with tears as I stared at him. He held the steering tight, not stealing a glance at me. My stomach grumbled with hunger. He heard the sound but said nothing. For Lorenzo to ignore me this much, then I must have stepped on his ego. I felt sorry and remorseful. I should have played it cool while cutting him off. If he was a ruthless Mafia boss, then he must have been really cool with me. Guess I had misused
