I found myself fidgeting slightly at the thought of leaving the Pazello. I mean, I’d love to go see my mom. She had no idea I had stopped working, and a man had locked me in his mansion for my safety. That was a foolish thought anyway. My mom deserved to see her only child. I didn’t really trust Felicia that much, but for once I was ready to risk it all to leave the mansion before Lorenzo arrived. So whatever Felicia said, I’d do it, as long as it led us successfully away from this place. I took a deep breath and adjusted my shirt that hung loosely over my shoulders. Felicia was chewing something. Whatever it was, I had no idea. The television was loud enough to be heard from miles away. The aroma drifting from the kitchen filled the entire room.
